"great value"

Great value for a one-night layover near the airport. I my departure the next day was not until 4 pm, so the staff helped me to get around to a local market. This quarter is defenitely off the gringo trail but a great experience.

"Very nice for a night near the airport"

We stayed here for one night after getting in on a late flight and needing to get up early for a flight to Cusco, and it was conveniently located near the airport, very inexpensive, and the owner was extremely kind. I'm not sure what the neighborhood would be like if you were actually trying to get out and see Lima, but certainly for a night in, it was a great deal! Clean rooms, nice little breakfast in the morning for a few extra Soles, and very sweet people.

"Good for groups looking for an inexpensive stay"

The rooms were clean and tidy and the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. However, it is in a bad neighborhood so taxis are recommended and expect music to lay far into the night.

"OK for a night before a Cusco flight"

Beats sleeping in the airport! Apart from that, there are loud barking dogs (as is true for many places in Peru). There might be better options, but this option is way cheaper than the airport hotel. Also the room somehow seemed to be high in allergens and caused sniffliness for us. Staff was friendly. The neighbourhood seemed to be sketchy, although we just took a taxi from the airport (arranged by the hostal) and back there very soon afterwards.

"Hostal Las Fresas"

The only reason we stayed at this hostel was its location to the airport. There is no name on the building letting you know it is a hostel. The hostel made arrangements for us to be picked up and dropped off at the airport. The location of the hostel is in is not very nice. For an over night stay it was fine, but not for long stays.

"Perfect for an airport departure"

The hostel was great. The only reason though that you would stay there is to get to the airport as there is nothing in the area to do.
