The bathroom shower was wonky and wouldn’t stay hot. Sink faucets leaked

I left a computer 🖥️ n the room. The staff made no attempt to call me. They claimed they had no phone number on me. The security guy stated he had no way to contact me!!!!! I guess it would have been disappeared if I had not called them. Thank God at least the cleaning lady is honest. The hotel has a sort of creepy feel to it. They refused to turn on the fan in my room to save energy. The room was dusty and a little stuffy and no offer of a fan. But they had a ridiculous amount of water coming out of the shower in a place (Phoenix) that has severe water problems. The entrance is very poorly marked. We drove around the hotel twice to find it. No doorman and no luggage carriers near the front door. I prepaid for breakfast and when we went down there there was a sign saying it was closed. I told them we already paid for breakfast. Then we had two waiters who insisted on charging 18 percent gratuity. The breakfast ended up costing over 55 dollars for an omelet and yogurt parfait and a cup of coffee. The nicest guy was the overnight valet parking guy.

I stayed at the Westin Phoenix downtown for 3 nights while in town on business. I only have Marriott Gold status, so I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a corner suite on the 15th floor at check-in. I also was able to check-in early at 2:00, which was greatly appreciated. The room was spectacular. From the comfy (huge) sectional couch to the enormous bathroom with soaking tub to the wet bar area, I could not have asked for anything more. The room also included a coffee maker, safe, mini-fridge, and comfy robes. The shower was phenomenal (it had both a rain shower head and a wand). The room was exceptionally clean. The bed and linens were all top quality. There was a bit of city noise at night, but nothing that was bothersome that high up. There were 5 elevators which was more than enough for a hotel this size so that I never had to wait more than 30 seconds for a lift. I did get to use the swimming pool on that first afternoon. Somehow, the sun angle was still perfect to allow for plenty of sun. There were plenty of loungers and a water cooler available. There is elevator access along with steps. The pool is smaller than it appears in the hotel website's glamour shots, but that's to be expected. I ate dinner twice at the hotel restaurant. As another poster said, the options were limited. But both the chicken sandwich and the hamburger I had were delicious. My colleagues all enjoyed their food, too. I visited the concierge lounge on the 11th floor one evening. So many hotels have done away with their concierge lounges. It was refreshing to have that option. I used the fitness center all 3 mornings and greatly appreciated that it is open 24/7. The center is also on the 11th floor. There were 3 Life Fitness ellipticals along with bikes and treadmills. There were also nautilus type weight machines along with free weights, mats, and yoga balls. There were always plenty of towels and water, although the sanitizing wipes were missing the first morning. I was there for a work function and was impressed with the food and service during our seminar breaks. I hope to come back soon to visit with my husband.

This is a review of my mid-September stay at The Westin in downtown Phoenix. It was a two-night work trip. Overall it was short, but a wonderful experience. The location of the property was excellent, and the upgraded Premium Room with views was very comfortable and perfect for a business stay. I stayed on the 18th floor and really enjoyed the stunning views of downtown Phoenix. Unlike another Westin I’ve stayed at in the greater Phoenix area, the customer service at this property was exceptional. Every staff member, from the valet to the front desk agents to housekeeping, was so friendly and eager to help in any way possible. There’s also a restaurant on the ground floor of the property. Personally, I thought the menu offerings were a bit limited, but the service and food were top-notch.
