The shared spaces are really great. The food is extremely good. The property is lovely. Good location away from the crowds

Our room wasted & bed was not very comfortable ( seems old)

Lovely quiet hotel in a very busy part of the country - good quality and individual which is difficult to find these days

in general the food was of good quality and the menus were extensive and varied but it was all a bit overcooked

Everything else was fine, but the hotel front desk man was good. The most unpleasant thing about the politeness was a white staff member at breakfast，she is a serious, narrow-minded white lady. She was solemnly monitoring the situation inside, her words and deeds exuding a sense of tension and an indescribable feeling. This woman should be fired.

My Husband is a smoker and was enjoying a smoke on the Outside Balcony when the larger Blonde Receptionist opened the door and stated - If you smoke here again you’ll be asked to leave. It was her all attitude which upset my Husband who is 62 years old and not a child. Which resulted in him not paying all the Gratuity. If she would of approached him nicely by saying sorry Sir you’re not allowed to smoke outside on the balcony - there is a sign on the door it wouldn’t of mattered but it was the way she reprimanded him. We actually walked back to see if there was a sign of which there was but the sun was shining reflecting with the light so it made it unreadable. Perhaps if you put a no smoking sign of the cigarette with the red circle guests could see it better. Another Customer suffered another similar experience whilst we were there. The whole thing put a sour taste on our experience there this time so will not be returning. Apart from the young lady waitress from Leeds and the foreign young lady Receptionist the Service was dire.

Beautiful place , quirky decor and beautiful gardens . Very lucky to experience display of birds of prey within the grounds. Very friendly welcoming staff
