Sunset Plaza Karon by RESAVA

The rooms look very nice and modern. The manager was very helpful and friendly. However, there is no hotel restaurant or many restaurants close by. The hotel is up a very steep hill. There is a shuttle but it stops running at 6pm. So unless you plan to cook in the room or have pizza delivered, you have to eat before 6... Or walk the hill that some cabs refuse to even drive up. Being walking distance from the beach was a definite plus but I wouldn't stay there again unless I had a vehicle.

Beautiful place to stay overlooking the ocean at Karon - they gave us a free upgrade into a 2 bedroom unit with loads of space, jaccuzi on the balcony, fantastic outlook Friendly management and staff who went out of their way to make our stay as easy and comfortable as possible There are some comments about the walk back up the hill, but the shuttle bus ran all day until 6pm and after that the taxis will take you up the hill anyway. Also what's wrong with a bit of exercise We are going back next year to stay in the 4 bedroom penthouse with the whole family HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

We have just returned from the sunset plaza hotel in Phuket. We enjoyed our stay there. My daughters loved the pool. And the view is fantastic. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Having the two bedrooms made it good for a family holiday. The only problem we found was it is on a steep driveway. There is a shuttle bus if you dont want to walk up and down though. Other wise we had a good time there.

It was a nice, clean and small hotel. Too bad it located on the hills and most taxi don't like to drive up to the hotel. I staysed there with my parents and I paid for the extra bed and person charge. They did brought the roll away bed with sheets and made it up but they didn't give me extra blanket. With the AC on all night, it can get cold. There is no housekeeping coming to make our bed n clean up during our stay of 3 nights. The condo can get dusty easily due to the condition of the enviroment around the hotel. Lastly, the bathroom got smelly after not being clean for 3 days. If there were housekeeping to come in to do daily clean up, it would have been a great stayed.

okay, this is not a hotel; nor does it make me feel anywhere close to a plaza other than its name. it is run by a property management office and located on a steep hill (you enter the building through underground garage). What we got is a apartment about 600 sqft (with high ceilings), with some very basic amnenities. The staff gave me a "taxi" ride to the nearby Patong for 500 Baht (it's not expensive by many standards, but compared to local fare value, it is). If you are looking for a room and nothing else, this can work for you. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend to you (at the price I paid).

i requested a room with a view and we were given an amazing room apon arrival to these amazing condos. the hill the complex sits on is a bit of a killer. but its how it gets its amazing views. there is a ferry vehicle that can get you up and down however its not always in available as this is more a 9-5 operation being serviced apartments. would recommend this sunset plaza without hesitation.

The apartment was great really comfortable and clean. It was about 15 minutes walk to the beach with some cars restaurants and shops 5 minutes away. It was quiet and safe. Only down points were the bar in the complex wasn't actually open at all for the entire time i was there, the gym was really basic and there was only one treadmill which was really old with a very dodgy belt. Also the walk up to the complex is extremely steep. Overall good but disappointed with no car and rubbish gym

We loved the room/Apartment...Well equippeed kitchen, living area was modern and clean...Pools great...View at night from Balcony overlooking the Andaman Sea STUNNING!...Scott was fabulous in anything you needed or arranged from laundry to sightseeing tours was quick and without a hassle...Great restaurants and the beach very close...You do sit up on a hill and the hill can be a killer, but so worth the view...We travel overseas quite a bit and we will for sure return to the Sunset Soon...Thanks Scott for a very enjoyable 15 days we appreciated you and the place was great for us! My husband and I stayed at Sunset Plaza Karon serviced apartments for 10 nights for our honeymoon. There is absolutely nothing bad I can say about the complex - apartment, pools, gym etc were all fantastic! The housekeeping team and management were always very friendly and helpful. Our apartment had AMAZING views and location was great for us, very quiet, safe and secure and although not on the main drag of Karon, beach, shopping etc was only a short stroll away. Driveway to complex is quite steep but never was an issue especially with our zippy rented scooter. Thanks for a great stay :-)
