Villa Park Sun Island Resort

We really enjoyed our stay in Sun Island. Friendly staff, very clean room, good food choice. We would definitely book it again.

Water activities and stay all under one head. The food was good and nice scenery and peaceful atmosphere. Thanks had a great time ahead.

The location and island are awesome!!! Hard to beat. What I did not like were the rules/games played on the all-inclusive. For instance, after a couple mile run I walked up to the bar by the mini golf course and asked them to refill my water bottle. They said they could not do it because I was all-inclusive. If they did do it....they would have to charge me. Come on.....that is ridiculous!!!

We did the all inclusive option and found it to be an excellent value. The resort is beautiful and well maintained. Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful.

This is a big and beautiful resort. Given that it is biggest (or one of the biggest) in Maldives, I was keeping my expectations in check. But it exceeded my expectations. Things are planned meticulously right from international arrivals, domestic travel, check-in, planned room change, check-out and departure. Taking a cycle for roaming around the resort was very good. it is a big resort and going back and forth from your room to restaurants and other beaches and activities become really convenient. All txns are in USD (I did not even see local currency in my entire trip). Prices are high but I would say this is in line with what you pay for the room etc. Though I was contemplating taking all inclusive package, I did not do it and it was the right decision. I strongly suggest to take full board (especially if you are vegetarian). The main restaurant is has very wide spread (for a vegetarian, you can expect around 30-40% of it to be relevant). The only options outside of buffet are Italian and Thai food with negligible Veg options. I took beach bungalow for 3 nights and water bungalow for 1 night which seemed the right decision. Though water bungalow is a great experience (living on top of water etc), but you start missing the beach and the convenience of just walking to the beach from your room directly. A great experience.

The best resort in Maldives the island is big so many beaches and lagoons to swim there is a huge tropical garden with hundreds of banana trees the resort was full capacity but most of the time you don’t see anyone around will go back many times more .

all the staff was very polite and friendly. I should mention Nitushri and Sita in the dining area, who always very courteously asked about the food, stay and others. the facilities are excellent and we could find everything perfect. a blissful stay in the resort. recommended strongly.

Really enjoyed staying here in the property. Their staff is really good, and very friendly that made it a very pleasant stay. Our room-boy was also great with his communication (Thank you varataraj). The food was very good, they had a lot of options. They were also able to help with my special jain-diet (no onion and no garlic). The chef was very friendly as well. The programs they had in terms of water sports was also great, we got a chance to snorkel with dolphins, whale shark, sea turtles and mantarays.

This is by far one of the best resorts I have been to, I am amused by how friendly the staff were, I stayed on full board basis, food was perfect, everything in the buffet was delicious, some of the water sports are free, like canoeing and windsurfing (only if you know how to do it), they have also a bunch of great day trips like Sunset Dolphin, Whale Shark Snorkeling, Manta Ray Snorkeling, Turtle Snorkeling, everything was very well prepared, it was a brilliant holiday. Note: prices of the day trips vary but the average is about $60 per person.
