Villa Park Sun Island Resort

Beautiful resort with amazing beaches and an air of calm. We booked a sunset villa and it felt like we had our own beach. My only negative was the prices at the resort. Despite being all inclusive, we did want to use the other restaurants. This was an expensive endeavour though and some of the pricing seemed surprising, occasionally main courses were half the price of starters. Staff were lovely and friendly and the resort itself was immaculately maintained despite stormy weather overnight. My other thing to not is the journey getting there. We were luck that our flight lined up with their domestic transfer, I could imagine this would be a pain if the flights didn’t match up.

Beautiful resort. Loads of amenities. Had water sports experience as well which was well-managed. Only thing that could have been better was the Indian cuisine food. Compared to other cuisines, the quality and variety of Indian dishes were very limited.

They were late for the honeymoon setup we had to ask for it like 6 times before we actually got the service, most people don’t speak English it was kinda hard to communicat

We visited this resort for our honeymoon trip, everything is great and almost perfect. It could be better, memorable and wonderful trip for our honeymoon. However, there are still a lot of improvements that needs to be done and we had a bad experience for our stay. ;( Anyway, just to share a few tips... [TIPS#1: They have sunrise or sunset view for the water bungalow, try to request earlier before it runs out of availability.] [TIPS#2: Try ask for a room further away from the end (Thai restaurant) to shorten your walking distance, also they feed the big sharks there.] [TIPS#3: The departure time is only available on the last night before departure!] [TIPS#4: Request for an earlier departure time from the island, if you arrive Velana International Airport earlier, you could plan for a short trip to Male city, expect some delays in the flights and customs clearance, and there were a huge line during our visit at the Velana Airport.] [TIPS#5: The restaurant dedicated for water bungalow is less crowded.] In short, nice view, nice people, relax atmosphere, good lobster meal, not professional in handling works, bad arrangement, bad teamwork. Given the bad experience that brought us a lot of hassles, we might not visit this island again in the future. Guess I can still get nice view, nice people, relax atmosphere, good lobster meal elsewhere in Maldives. p/s: Honeymoon package comes with a one-time fruit basket and champagne.

It was a memorable vacation experience in the resort. Thanks to Ms. Shaira for providing support to book on the water activities and beach BBQ and Ms. Kay who help me arrange spa, dinner in sunstar cuisine & shows at main bar. Likewise, to Mr Mode for a nice welcome and brief in the resort. Looking forward to come back with my family.

What an amazing honeymoon destination! The resort has many great activities and services. This was a stay that I will never forget. Everything was incredible.

Beautiful place to visit once, great weather, beautiful water and beaches, not happy with the fact that alcohol was expensive and prohibited in the Maldives entire country. Not allowed to take a personal bottle to resort and taken away at airport arrival to the Maldives, but they did return bottle to me upon leaving country.

The hotel gives you an invoice without a breakup. They overcharge you. If you bring it to their notice, they change it back immediately to the correct amount. It seems like a lot of travelers have shared this feedback. Also a lot of fellow travelers faced the same problem. We were overcharged by 500$. The corrected the invoice after we showed them proof receipts.
