Mara Intrepids Tented Camp

This Safari camp is top notch. The location is perfect, you can even see the big game like elephants or lions coming to the river just below the tents. These itselves are spacious and include everything you need or desire in the african bush. The food is outstanding with 50% vegetarian meals on the menue!! and the service of all employees is impeccable. They truly want to please you and thus are going the extra mile. This includes the General Manager Edwin who definitely knows and lives for what service and hospitality means. We fully recommend this camp and be back next year.

All the staff at Mara Intrepids made a huge effort to ensure our stay was extra special. The chef even cooked up local Kenyan food for my partner who despaired of always receiving 'Western' food at other hotels.

Wir waren von der Lage und den unglaublich luxuriösen Zelten mitten im Busch begeistert. Top. Die Mitarbeiter waren außerordentlich freundlich und um eine guten Service bemüht. das Essen erstaunlich vielfältig und wirklich sehr gut. Allerdings passten der Stil und die Ausstattung von Reception und Restaurant nicht zusammen mit dem Standart der Zimmer. Hier hätte man mit etwas mehr Liebe zum Detail den Standard auch auf 5 Sterne bringen können, für uns sind diese Punkte nur ca 3 Sterne Wert. Der Pool war Trübe und verschmutzt und hat nicht zum baden eingeladen. Ich wurde während meines Aufenthaltes leider krank, die Hotelleitung hat umgehend einenArzt aufgeboten der sich sehr gut um mich gekümmert hat in dieser Zeit. Dafür wurde mir kein Cent verrechnet. Bravo und danke dafür. Die Lage des Hotels im zentrum der Mara ist hervorragend und die Safari Führer machen einen Top Job. In 2 Tagen hatten wir bereits alle Big 5 gesehen und unzählige Tiere mehr,auch ganz viel Nachwuchs. Wir können das Camp guten Gewissens empfehlen

Great food,first class game drives total satisfaction

My wife, 12 yr old daughter, and I spent 4 nights at Mara Intrepids and didnt want to leave. The service is fantastic, everyone was extremely friendly, and the location cannot be beat. Located less than 5 minutes from the airstrip and right in the middle of all the wild life. The accomodations are fantastic! We stayed in tent 30 whiich sits right on the edge of the camp. The tent is furnished w hardwood floors a beautiful canopy bed and a toilet and shower. Extra touches include hot water bottles placed in your bed at night and wake up service w coffee hot chocolate and fresh cookies. The camp also caters well to children with their own menu and activity center. John was our safari guide and we met up w him 3 times a day for safari drives. We were lucky enough to see all of "The Big 5" in the same day! John knew exactly where to find each animal, and even when other safari cars were searching in the same area, we always were able to spot them first. We were also lucky enough to witness a river crossing. Joshua was our waiter during our stay and was very attentive to our needs. On our final morning we stayed out on our safari drive a bit later and Joshua made sure to keep the breakfast bar open for us. We cant wait to return to the Intrepids!

I was only able to stay at Mara Intrepids for 2 nights/3 days but still had an amazing time and would love to go back again for longer. Staff were friendly, tents absolutely gorgeous, location perfect, great game drives and delicious food. Even though I was only there for two nights/three days I was able to go on 5 game drives and each one was quite different...mating lions, two cheetahs, migrating wildebeest, a leopard eating it's kill in a tree, elephants and much more. A magical place. I also recommend the hot air balloon ride...a great experience! Thanks!
