"Close to Spas"

8.0

Hotel is across the street from two of the main spas in town. The location can't be beat - it's right in the heart of town. There isn't any air conditioning, and it was hot when we visited, but I'm pretty used to Germany not having AC. There were two portable fans in the room that we used while sleeping. The rate included breakfast, and it was adequate. Includes breads, cheeses, meats, cereals, juices, etc. Would stay again - the price was reasonable.

"Large and comfortable rooms but poor service"

8.0

The room was large and comfortable and had a balcony on the roof to enjoy the warm evenings. Sleeping was easy as it was quiet. Breakfast was good in the morning. However the check-in service was horrible as we had to wander all over Munich to find the correct place to check-in because we arrived at 5pm. Once we did check in we still had to follow the host to let us in and then parking wasn't clear. Location is very good if you want to wander around Baden Baden and enjoy the sites.

"Need to manage better"

2.0

I had booked a room because of the location to the spas. We arrived in Baden-Baden a little before 7pm. It was stressful driving in such a tight space and was thankful when I found a place to park outside the hotel. When I went to the door, it was locked with instructions to go to another hotel a few blocks down (and down a large flight of steps) to check in. I told my so to wait in the car and I would be back. I finally found the hotel which was being ran by waitresses at the restaurant? I was told that my room was no longer available but that I could have a room there. I asked if I would be receiving a discount and the waitress told me no. I told her I had already parked a ways away and had no idea how to find my way to this place (since I went down steps to get there). She said she would go with me to my car and help me. On the way I decided this was bull crap and I would try to find someplace else to stay by the spas (this was the only reason I was here and was only staying one night). I told her this and said if I was unable to find a place I would be back. She said ok. I then went back to the restaurant to make sure that they were not going to charge my credit card for the room. I had to talk to another waitress because the first one was busy with customers. She told me that I would be charged for the room because I did not cancel in enough time. I explained to her that I did not cancel at all and I would still take a room at the hotel I booked. She said the hotel was not available but this hotel had the same type rooms and there was no difference. I told her that I was one to decide if there was a difference and since I booked because of the location to the spas there was to me. At this point she asked me to stop screaming but I told her I was not screaming and had no even raised my voice. I felt bad that these 2 waitresses. that were obviously busy with there main job?, were the ones to deal with these hotel issues. I had asked earlier if there was someone else I could talk to regarding this and was told no it was only them. However when I said I was not going to have my cc charged for a room they could not produce, she did go get another lady (where was she earlier) who acted like she had the authority to deal with the hotel issues. I explained everything to her and she assured me that I would not be charged for the room. I had her sign her name on my booking info just in case I did get charged but I never did. This was a huge hassle that took up a lot of precious vacation time. I ended up having to pay almost double at another hotel right outside the spas but at that point I would have rather paid double than give this hotel any of my money. Would definitely not recommend!

"good location!"

Pretty good deal for its price and location. Also breakfast was decent too. Staff was not that friendly, but what do you expect for inexpensive hotel like this?

"Fabulous location, tight quarters"

6.0

Hotel Bischoff is the perfect place to stay for those who are coming to Baden Baden to take advantage of the city's fabulous spas. The hotel is located directly across the street from the Friedrichsbad spa, and just down the street from the Caracalla Spa. Our two-twin bed room was just large enough to maneuver around to feel comfortable, but the bathroom was quite small. The smell coming out of the bathroom could be overwhelming, though, so be prepared!

"My stay at Bischoff"

8.0

My 2 night stay was awesome. Small & homely. Lift was good for luggage. Location was excellent. 2 min walk from Caracalla & directly across Friedericks bad. Room rate was competitive. Vouchers for spa & coffee were appreciated. Receptionist was not there evenings but made sure all my needs were taken care of. Internet was a bit broken but she went out of her way to connect me. I would definately staty there again.

"Heaven in the alps."

10.0

Storybook setting. A wonderland of alpine living. Bedroom views of Europe's highest peaks while below your balcony a pasture of goats, each with their melodic bells, lull you to sleep. Wake up to a great breakfast buffet with everything you could desire. A laid back lodge setting with a lobby full of large comfortable chairs lacks only a roaring fire in the fireplace to replicate a Norman Rockwell cover. Situated one stop toward the pass from Interlaken on the track that will ultimately convert to a cog wheel train and take you high up on the Jungfrau, Wilderswil is the ideal jumping off point. The train station is a 15 minute walk down a paved road. Bring both a movie and a still camera with extra batteries and plenty of memory . You will go from 1,916 feet (elevation) to 11,333 feet on the most spectacular ride I have ever experienced. Plan a snack on the outdoor tables at the train switchover station (Kleine Scheidegg, elevation 6,762) with good desserts made on site. Get the train ticket that brings you down to Grund and back to Wilderswil for a day to remember. If driving, plan a drive around the two lakes and spend few minutes in some of the quaint villages while snapping away. Hotel Berghof is ideally situated for all this and I feel fortunate to have discovered it on my first visit. There will be more!

"Hotel Bischoff"

Nice hotel with great location.(The entrance to Friedrichsbad is across the street.) Parking is 200 m from the hotel, which may be inconvenient for some. Some rooms are little on the small side.

"Great location, Wifi not the best"

8.0

The location was great... right across the street from Friedrichsbad. But it is a long way from the train station. The area has lots of shops and restaurants, so I found that very convenient. The WiFi was not very strong, but I suppose that's a small thing to complain about. The woman working the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Very friendly.

"Last minute booking hotel -great location and value"

6.0

My sister and I did not plan to stay overnight in Baden-Baden, but our spa finished at around 7pm. We dedided to stay in the area, so we ended up checking at Hotel Bischoff in a double room/corner. The room was a good size and it was in a perfect location across from the Friedrichsbad Spa. The room was very clean, there is an old tv, and the internet was very spotty. The breakfast had a decent selection. There is no parking in the hotel, so we ended up parking at the mall. Try to find a different parking, as it cost us €30/ day. Ask for a room in the back of the hotel, as it gets loud in the morning, if you are a late riser.
