"Good"

6.0

I had booked a room at Hotel Bischoff and had arrived to the city around 9:30pm. By the time I got there, there was no reception at the desk, and a gentleman at the restaurant around the corner told me that after hours I need to find the manager at Laterne Hotel & Restaurant as they manage both. I'm not sure how I would have found this out without his help. In spite of having a reservation, they did not have my room available at Bischoff, but instead gave me a room at Laterne for the same price. The room at Laterne was relatively nice, as was the staff. Can't comment on Bischoff other than my check-in experience.

"Location, location, location!"

8.0

The best location possible if you are going to either of the spas in town- literally right across the street from the Frederichsbad. The room was small by American standards but pretty average-large for a European hotel. It was clean and decorated nicely, but the bathroom was very small- which wasn't a problem because we just showered at the spa anyway. The breakfast was small for American standards but I thought it was terrific with a good assortment of meats and cheeses, fruit, eggs, yogurt, and bread. If I go to baden-baden again, I will probably stay here since it was very reasonably priced for what we got - but if you're from the US, don't be surprised at how small the rooms are, it's pretty standard for Germany.

"An Excellent budget hotel facing Friedrichsbad"

8.0

If you are interested in visiting the hot springs, the hotel is in excellent location, actually facing Friedriechsbad and a few minutes walk from Caracala Terme. Nice 3 story building, comfortable room, good breakfast. The reception closes at night, but the key to your room opens the lobby door as well. For late arrival, the check in is at a nearby hotel which stays open till 1AM (info on the door).

"Great Hotel"

10.0

This hotel was located in a great location, just a few minutes from all of the shops in Baden-Baden. The room was great, very comfortable. And it had a refrigerator. The staff was very nice, offering to keep our luggage since we couldn't check in early. They even brought it up to our room once the room had been cleaned, so it was there when we returned. The breakfast included with the stay (a rarity) was delicious and had quite a bit to offer. Overall this was a great experience and I would stay there again without hesitation.

"Awesome location"

8.0

Amazing location. Across the street from the two major spas and Roman Spa ruins. Awesome location for walking to shops and restaurants. Try a restaurant called Fresh choice if you want a quick sandwich or frozen yogurt owner is from San Francisco and provides great food & hospitality. Near by Indian restaurant excellent for dinner. Hotel breakfast included was very nice. Room is very basic but you can't beat the location. No parking on site but a nice safe garage is walking distance away for about 15 euros per day. Park at the first garage you see or temporally under the Carcalla spa and walk to the hotel as driving to the property is difficult. Most of the streets are pedestrian only.

"Terrible Experience"

2.0

The address of this hotel is wrong in Hotels.com, it takes us 2 hours in the late night to find it. The worse thing happened then is that the hotel is not in-business. not sure why I could book it from hotels.com..., then it takes us another 1 hour to find another hotel in baden-baden at 1am in the morning.

"Close to Friedrichsbad"

6.0

We arrived after 8 pm. They are only open for 5 pm to check in at their hotel. We had been wandering around trying to find the hotel as there wasn't a map at the train station. We should have taken a taxi, but didn't. Once we finally found the location of the hotel, it was great that it was located right across from Friedrichsbad. That was our destination. However, because it was after 8 pm, we had to go to a different hotel to check in. We first went to the main hotel that was listed and they told us that we had to go to a different hotel to check in if it was before 11. So we proceeded to walk to a different hotel. We had to go through their restaurant to get to the reception area. It was a decent hotel, but an absolute pain to get checked in.
