Perfect for a home base while wine tasting in Alsace. Colmar is centrally located on the wine road, and the hotel is close to the highway, but not close enough to hear any traffic. It was very easy to get almost anywhere in the region in about 20-30 mins max. The immediate surroundings of the hotel are fine, but nothing to get excited about. If you want to stay in the heart of one of the cute villages, this is not your place. However, the hotel seems to be brand new: the rooms are extremely quiet, have nice firm mattresses that were extremely comfortable, and have excellent air conditioning that made the room ice-cold (seems to be a rarity in Europe). The hotel also has plenty of parking, and very helpful staff. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Overall I'm very happy we stayed here and would not waste time with any other options.

The staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions, even in English! The location is perfect, very close to the main motorway. From there I was able to travel in almost any direction. Downtown is not too far away either - all in all, perfect!
