"It is a nice place to stay."

Good location

-Our upstairs room did not have a bathroom so we had to go downstairs every time. Coffee maker did not have a long enough plug to plug in the wall, so we had to move it to on top of refrigerator to plug in and make it work. - toilet was leaking and would make loud noise once in a while.

"Nice dog-friendly Inn near the beach"

The two of us and our dog stayed in the Gull cottage (Room 1) a few weeks ago and just had a great time. The room itself was of older construction but clean and airy. The kitchenette (which was a big draw) needed a few more pots and utensils but was fine for what we cooked. I reminded myself that I almost always feel I should bring a few pans when using a hotel room kitchen. I didn't think to ask the staff who were very nice. Monica checked us in and Debbie checked us out and they were both friendly and helpful. The location in Santa Cruz is perfect. There is a beach a few hundred yards away though we watched two sunsets from nearby Twin Lakes beach. The queen sized bed was comfortable and the wall unit heater worked well. There was some confusion and we were charged an extra night's dog fee but when I caught this the manager straightened it out right away, I'm giving it 5 stars but it isn't a 5 star hotel so if you are expecting fancy you will be disappointed, But 5 stars for the location, cleanliness, quality of the morning coffee, friendliness of the staff, and the way we and our dog were welcomed and treated we will be back.

The front desk was really nice and accommodating. It is super close to the beach and is dog friendly and near restaurants and stores. Great location! Parking was not an issue, and even gave a little breakfast in the morning. Also provided amenities for the dogs which was nice little treat. They have bon fire packages too which is cool. Had a bbq and little patios to sit outside to use. Full mini kitchen. Beds were super comfy!

Nothing, we loved it and already planning another trip to come back and stay longer!
