Ocean Echo Inn & Beach Cottages

I liked the property and the people very much.

It was pretty isolated.....tv didn't work and no coffee cups. Shouldn't that all be checked and prepared before guests arrive?!

Die Zimmer waren schön und die Betten waren auch gut, ebenfalls die Lage - nur wenige Meter vom Strand.

Insgesamt ist die Unterkunft schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und leicht miefig. Das Frühstück war sehr am unteren Ende angesiedelt. Das Frühstück stand unten im Eingangsbereich, war zur Mitnahme aufs Zimmer oder für draußen wohl gedacht - draußen war zu kalt, im Zimmer aber nur Platz und Stühle für 3 Personen - obwohl Betten für 4 und für 4 gebucht. Das Personal war zwar eigentlich sehr nett aber leider etwas nachlässig. So gab’s Zimmerservice nicht an einem Morgen. Das Preis - Leistungsverhältnis war nicht angemessen… können wir so leider zu dem Preis nicht weiter empfehlen…

We truly enjoyed our stay. Samantha and Deb were both super friendly and helpful. We got some good local eating recommendations from them both. It was quiet and peaceful in our room, and the cove at the end of the street was a lovely local beach that allows dogs.

The location was amazing and the setting was very cute. There were plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy.

The carpet in the tower unit I stayed in had big stains on it right in the middle of the living area. I understand it is a pet friendly unit, however, it was really gross to see first thing. I mentioned it to the front desk and she said a manager would be there in the morning to discuss but when I went over no one was there. I ended up putting towels down over it so I wouldn’t have to look at it. A pet unit really should have no carpet in my opinion (the person at the front desk mentioned the other pet friendly units have wood floors). That being said, the kitchen was darling with a vintage feel, very clean, and the bathroom was nice also.

Loved my stay at Ocean Echo Inn! Steps from Sunny Cove Beach, cozy and clean rooms, and super friendly staff. Perfect for a quiet, relaxing trip, yet close to Santa Cruz attractions. Breakfast is simple, but the unbeatable location and laid-back vibe make it a gem.

It is on the beach called by the locals "The Cove". It's an older property, but very well maintained, and very clean. Each room and cottage has it's own door to the outside. The staff is great and eager to please; they immediately address any concerns or issues you have. Lots of good restaurants in Santa Cruz, and several beaches near by. It is now my Santa Cruz hotel of preference The bed was too soft for my taste.

Relaxing spot to enjoy the cool summer temps in Santa Cruz, away from the tourist rush but close to all the fun activities. Very clean, well kept rooms, beautiful large patio with ocean view, kitchens with large frig, and a nice offering of to go bagels, muffins, coffee, yougert etc...for a light breakfast. We come back every year!

The breakfast was ok.

Charging $50 a night for a 7 lb support dog is really high. Most hotels i go-to don't charge anything. I wasn't quoted a $50 fee when I booked a dog friendly room.
