Ballina Manor Hotel

I loved the room overlooking the river and the friendliness, helpfulness of the staff was amazing.

It was an old building so it was a convoluted route to the bedroom. Well signposted though.

Everything , lovely homely atmosphere with open fire . Staff very friendly and accommodating . Will be back

Lovely hotel and location. The staff are so lovely and kind, all through the hotel from reception to breakfast. Great spot.

We booked a king-size room with a river view, however there was scaffolding up during our stay which unfortunately blocked the view. Given that this is an upgraded room category, it would be worth the hotel flagging this in advance or adjusting the pricing when the view isn’t available. That said, the room itself was nice—slightly dated in parts, but still very comfortable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and made for a great night’s sleep. The staff were genuinely lovely throughout our stay, and the seating areas around the hotel were beautifully done—perfect for relaxing. The standout for us was the food. The restaurant was exceptional—really high quality and thoroughly enjoyable. Nice additional touches included complimentary water in the room and good-quality body wash and shower gels. Overall, a very enjoyable stay with excellent service and food, just slightly let down by the obstructed view.

The heating in the room was not ideal, and we found it quite difficult to control or turn off at the source. Given the price we paid, we would have expected the bathroom facilities to feel more modern and refreshed. The shower, in particular, is quite dated, small, and not especially comfortable, and the toilet also feels older than expected for this standard. Additionally, the view from the room was obstructed, which was disappointing considering we had paid for a river view upgrade. Overall, while there were positives to the stay, these aspects did not fully align with the price point.

Staff were so friendly and even checked me in early., so I could go off and enjoy the weekend. Forgot something in my car and the night staff helped me get it.Got a lovely quiet room and had a great sleep. Breakfast was absolutely delicious in the beautiful dining room. Genuinely happy and impressed overall.

The staff I met at Reception, in the Dining Room and upstairs were so welcoming and helpful, so unfussy. Women who are comfortable in their own skins. I loved the room. It had everything. It was small and cosy. Location was perfect for the purpose of my visit. Breakfast was more than adequate, well cooked, delicious.

Oh I almost forgot to mention that I found the bath seriously slippery - no mat. It was a bit scary but I was extremely careful. I did not want to slip in a bath! Water warm. Lots of good towels. I did not use all the lotions available but liked how they were presented.

Food was delicious. Great location. Friendly staff.

Decor is a bit outdated. Would have liked a self service breakfast

The breakfast was lovely.

There was a very disturbing argument between two male members of staff as we sat for a quiet drink in the bar. Both staff members were aware of us being there and it was very disturbing. We only had one drink and left.
