"Past it's prime"

Ridgeview has a quaint comfort to it, a charming old residence with nice ocean and garden views. The artwork is excellent and the antique furniture tasteful.

Staff were friendly but overly rule-bound. I asked for new towels day 1, but found the same dirty towels picked up off the floor and rehung. (The towels are thread-bare, too). I asked for yogurt, fruit, and granola for breakfast rather than the standard eggs and bacon, and got a small cup of oatmeal with sweetened yogurt. "No fruit," I was told even though I was there multiple days. Drinking water in the room was not refilled. Nor tea and coffee. The impression was one of meagerness.

The host (owner) was most helpful and friendly. Very hospitable. If I was ever to visit Durban again, I will stay at Ridgeview The breakfast was excellent and the setting was just perfect with an absolutely beautiful view The location was perfect for our visit

Everything was acceptable We stayed in the self catering cottage Be aware of the vervets. Mischievous, but totally harmless though.

Feels like royalty. Stylish comfortable and amazing views.never expected this in the heart of Durban The host Vasatha and staff were friendly and welcoming. It feels like home. I could comfortably libe here forever. Breakfast plus views just gorgeous. Very well located and safe. Thank you! Will highly recommend.

Super Ausgangslage, grüne Oase in der Stadt, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir lagen als einzige am Pool und sofort wurden vom Service nochmal Blätter rausgefischt - sehr aufmerksam! Frühstück wie so oft erwähnt prima. Das Haus hat Charme

Meckern auf hohem Niveau: insgesamt ist das Mobiliar unseres Zimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen (aber sauber). Lediglich der Teppichboden im Schlafzimmer macht keinen schönen Eindruck.
