The accomodation was very run down and tired and looks nothing like the images on Booking.com or on their website. Everything was either grubby or downright dirty. Our first room hand no shower door and the toilet was constantly running. The bathroom smelt of urine. The walls, door frames ... everything was grimy: corridors, doors etc. were filthy. Our second room was in a different building and was marginally better. The wall paper was coming of the wall. One lampshade didn't have a cover and another didn't have a bulb. There was no TV. We mentioned this to a member of staff and he brought one in. He didn't plug it in so, that night when we switched it on, we discovered it didn't work. Mentioned this the next day and nothing was done. There was a layer of grim on the blinds and windows. Old cobwebs on the walls and ceilings. I fully undrestand that this was a budget hotel but there is NO excuse for it not to be clean and fresh. I also understand that they are doing 'renovations' but again if you are open for business the rooms you offer should be clean and inviting. I asked to speak to someone when we checked out. There was no one avaible in the Complaints Department. but I was assured someone would get back to me. They haven't. The staff were pleasant but it felt like they were just giving 'lip service'.

Bed reasonably comfortable and clean

When making the booking it was advised as having a restaurant and the option of a full breakfast. When we got there the restaurant was closed for 2 weeks due to refurbishment. No breakfast option. They did put out some tea, coffee and cereals but had ran out of milk! Building work was being carried out around the property so the noise of a hammer drill early in the morning was not great. Bathroom door partially hanging off, Paint pealing off furniture in room. Hotel needs a LOT of renovation. Staff were pleasant and apologetic.

nice comfy beds, nice and quiet

Id say the staff very helpful man worked on saturday helped us out and got us sorted to a happier room

I didnt like the room first one .as the drain was dripping from down outside our window kept us awake half the night .could do with updated rooms
