Gable Manor by Neighbourgood

Leaving that place and never going back.

The pictures are probably 10 years old and isn't representative of the current state of the place which is run down, damp and stinking. The WiFi didn't work. The pool is cracked and lined with green algae. The sun loungers are dated and dirty with dirty with towels with holes on them that didn't get changed. The bathrooms are full of black mould. The breakfast isn't as pictured in the advertising. The house and garden isn't as advertised in the pictures it's crumbling and cracked with the garden overgrown so that the house and rooms are dark and dingy. Both the Aircon and fan wasn't working in the room we booked. They offered us a different room that was stinking, full of damp with cracks in the wall and hadn't been cleaned properly to get ready in promising that our Aircon will be fixed by the time we got back from dinner. It wasn't fixed as promised and because no one was onsite we had to stay in the dirty room. They then followed with another promise it will be done by the morning. The next day however the property gave the room we had booked to someone else. We got back from lunch expecting the Aircon to be repaired and us getting our room ready only to find we had been locked out and there was someone else in the room. We asked for a refund which they refused. The place is being run into the ground by dishonest and deceptive people. We left anyway because we couldn't stay in the stinking, dirty, damp room they had given us.

Lovely guest house with beautiful garden and small pool in Franschhoek, within walking distance of centre, cafes, restaurants and wine tram. Nice breakfast, quiet and relaxed. Secure parking

Die Zimmer waren riesig und sehr komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Garten mit dem kleinen Pool sehr gemütlich. Die Lage um zu Fuß zur Stadtmitte zu kommen auch hervorragend.
