Akaroa Criterion Motel

The room was exceptional. Very spacious and confortable

The motel is located one block from the harbor. The third-floor sea view rooms are very large offering beautiful vistas over a smaller building across the street. A number of good restaurants are also close by. It’s a very convenient location for exploring the incredible landscape.

The decor is dated and there is no heat in the bathrooms.

We stayed on ground floor with a terrace and seaview (although parked cars and trailers obscured the view). Akaroa is a very small place and the access is through mountaineous and winding road. Anyhow the athmosphere is lovely

Brilliant location, spacious and very clean room. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. As for the beautiful view from the upper room - stunning! Definitely recommend.

Das war bis jetzt die schönste Unterkunft, die ich in Neuseeland hatte. Sehr großes Zimmer und Badezimmer, direkter Blick auf die Bucht. Tolles Bett, sehr freundlicher Empfang! Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Es gibt sogar eine kleine Flasche Milch für jeden Gast und Regenschirme zum Leihen. Um die Ecke ist ein Supermarkt und viele nette Cafés. Ich wäre sehr gerne noch länger geblieben!

Nichts. Wenn ich könnte würde ich 15 Sterne geben! :)

Our room had a wonderful view. Clean and tidy, well equipped and nice shampoo, condition and really nice shampoo, condition and body lotion provided - which a lot of places don't these days.

Bed needs upgrading.

荷物が多いため一階の部屋を希望していだけれど、３階の部屋しか空室がなく、エレベーターも無いので躊躇したが、海が見渡せて景色が良かった。 また、宿の人が希望を分かってくれていて、チェックアウト時にはオーナーらしき人が大きなトランクを親切に運んでくれた。 共用のランドリーの乾燥機が早かった。 近くに美味しいベーカリーやカフェがある。

バス停からはちょっと離れている。車なら何も問題ない。

Very good place to stay - clean, well maintained property and spacious room, reasonably priced; comfortable and quiet. Location is convenient within walking distance of several restaurants (and essentially almost all of Akaroa). We only stayed one night, but would definitely stay here again.
