I chose this hotel to be close to both the city center and the ocean. It is located on a side street which was tricky to access. It was also a bit too noisy and the view I had was terrible.

This hotel was great. if you have a special request for a meal just ask. I think westerners just think we get only whats on the menu. I learned you can ask and if they can prepare the will. This is a seafood city. Great food. Very impressed with the service both in the restaurant on the 1st floor and behind the counter. next time I come back I will stay here again.
The location of the hotel is great. Just to remind non Chinese speaking visitors, always have the hotel's phone number to give to the taxi driver to call to make sure of the right hotel. No taxi driver speaks English. Even fluent in Mandarine, I sometimes need the phone #. Hotel is clean and close to the waterfront area. It was great to be able to walk a outs without relying too much on Taxi. Honolulu, Hawaii

Nice hotel, good western breakfast, rooms very hot
The Holiday Inn is nice enough. We had no problems during our stay. However, it seems to be stuck awkwardly between being budget and luxury. It's too expensive to be a budget option but not nice enough to be considered a splurge.
This Holiday Inn is extremely good value for money, the location is great, as is the service and the rooms. The gym is ok, it has free weights and is clean and modern, but there aren't many machines. The swimming pool unfortunately has the ridiculous rule of wearing a swimming cap to enter the pool. I expect this in cheap living accommodations but not in the 4 or 5 star hotel where they can clean the filters of any hair. Very disappointing.
