Pros: While the room looks pretty standard in terms of furnishing, the bed and pillows were outstanding. It really was great having the option of hard or soft pillows. Breakfast buffet had a decent spread and the staff were very polite and accommodating. Front desk and concierge were helpful when it came to directions and getting taxis. Rooms were cleaned promptly. On moon festival day, we noticed mooncakes had been left in the room, which was a very nice touch.The location of the hotel is great and we were able to walk to May 4th square and nearby areas. There is a Carrefour right next to the hotel. Cons: At the breakfast buffet we noticed tiny flies all over the uncovered pastry and fruit section. We (along with many other guests) ended up avoiding this entire section and sticking to the hot and made to order food. This would be unacceptable in any Holiday Inn in the USA and management should look into addressing this problem.
Good value western style hotel with a reasonable size clean room. Staff generally very helpful and friendly. Very close to the marina area though I was expected a swimming beach. I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. A good location with many good restaurants within walking distance and next to Carrefour. But it seems to be quite far from the hotel and Laoshan. I took a cab to Laoshan which is about an hour away. On the way back, my Laoshan tourist guide dropped us off at the Laoshan beach and told us to take a direct bus back to the hotel. Bus 104 is very convenient as it stop next to the hotel.
It's difficult to travel around the city. The traffic is terrible.
Fabulous location, safe area night and day, THE BEST breakfast options!!! NICE rooms with large bathroom/shower. Super staff, easy to change money if needed, easy access to stores, any kind of shopping, taxis, restaurants. This place had it all!
It is clean. It is easy to approach from Liu Ting Airport via Airport Bus 701.
Nice fresh hotel with comforts of home. Bit difficult to access at peak traffic times being in the city centre though.
bad experience: fried eggs station, can fried fresh fishs together with eggs when there prepare your eggs, so your eggs with have fishy smell.
Qingdao is a great place, the only down side is the traffic
