Nice big room but no aircon so way too hot. Great golf course but pace of play slow. There for a wedding and the staff that worked that were excellent as were those in breakfast.

Staff in the Sports Bar were so miserable and did not clear up the hundreds of empty glasses on tables. Hotel is big and a bit of a rabbit warren.

Our 3rd short stay at the hotel, so disappointing, standards have dropped .Lovely hotel, great location, however the swimming pool is cold, too many people in there, nowhere to sit. Only one hotbed working. Foot spa not working. Onto dinner , total miscommunication on what I had booked, in the end , after having to prove emails in front of other guests, it was agreed we could have £35 each off the menu, no set menu anymore. There was a large very rowdy group of men basically upsetting other diners, shouting, pulling up their tops , so we had one course and left, I might add the menu is very limited. The dinner tables would be good on a boat in a storm as everything, including my phone stuck to them ! The waitress said this was due to the cleaner used. Upon leaving the restaurant I advised the manager that people were moving away from the group and we’d left because of them , the reply was, it’s a golf club , what do you expect ? Our room was nice, hot but there was a fan we had on all night. Shower was very powerful and hot. Breakfast, very nice but very busy and what has happened to the croissants, they have shrunk to mini size? I have expressed my disappointment to ‘ Guest relations’ and their response was ‘ we value your feedback ‘ usual blurb to avoid any responsibility. I have since found out the hotel changed hands last year , so they must be cutting corners. Shame we won’t be returning unless standards improve. Now wait for the standard reply from the hotel to this review as can be seen on any other negative reviews.

I really enjoyed the swimming sauna and afternoon tea but the massage was horrible no experience at all I really was shocked the way she did it as she didn’t seem to be professional

Online Room service portal was not clear. Some signage was confusing.

Fantastic and professional service from Sophia at main reception, she made us feel really welcome. What a lovely lady! We will be back :)
