Courtyard by Marriott Phnom Penh

The Courtyard Phnom Penh represents the Marriott group's first foray into the Cambodian market. It was opened in 2019 and it has been well maintained over the past 5 yrs. I was pleasantly surprised when the Asst. FnB Director, Mr. Ravinder Manhas, came to my table at breakfast on Dec 23rd and enquired if all was going well for me at Ctyd Phnpn.He and other management executives hv dn a super job training the staff at the hotel.Housekeepg, Reception, and the Mekong staff go all out to ensure that guests hv a comfortable stay. Mr. Manhas met me later in the hotel lounge nr the Reception. He gv me useful tips on other dining spots in PhnPn. Namaste Ind restaurant was an exclnt reccomendarion fm him.

The choice of hotels in Phnom Penh is limited and being a lifetime titanium elite member I only had this place. I received a warm welcome and was upgraded to a large executive corner room on the 16th floor. I’m not sure if this hotel had any suites. The executive lounge opens after 8.30 am so breakfast is served in the main restaurant. It has a good spread of food. The lounge had a decent spread as well in the evenings. However what makes this hotel rise high above all is the staff and the level of customer service. They are a benchmark of service at its best. Upon departure I realized I had left important documents in my room. I called the hotel and the front desk officers Lyheng Veth and Nou Manu sprang into action. They arranged an urgent tuktuk scooter and sent it and within less than half an hour I received the documents. Lyheng Veth kept on communicating with my WhatsApp to update me and ensure that I received it. This is what I call true stellar service!

Our favourite hotel in phnom Penh due to friendly and helpful staff esp at the Lounge, Rooftop bar, Mekong restaurant and reception. Dany, Sarang, Phanna and many others made our stay memorable. The rooftop bar has been renovated recently with additional covered seatings incl live music every Friday. There was a 3 piece band performing during our visit and they were good. Drinks were sold at 50% discount. Met Sarah the GM and her staff during breakfast. Will be back. Enjoyed our stay.

Room I got was on lower floor (6th floor coner room), so noise was loud up to midnight and billboard lights from other building was too bright at night. However, breakfast was very deliciouse with daily change of menu, and fruits were very fresh and so sweet. camboian and vietnamies dishes were awesome.

In the heart of the city, the Courtyard Hotel is a good venue to base local visits of Phnom Penh. The personnel work hard to meet your needs and queries. However, English is not a mastered language and thus some things may get lost in translation. Rooms are well appointed and daily maid service is impeccable. The breakfast buffet is well garnished and fresh.

We celebrated our 50th in this hotel and we were accorded with VIP treatment. We are very grateful for the excellent hospitality given to us.
