All the Staff are amazing i have stayed for buisiness for a few months and it feels like a home from home. Thank you all.

The spa was closed and we were only informed the day before so to time to re arrange our stay.

Hotel was in a good location for us with plenty of parking. Room was clean and quite spacious.

Unfortunately, the hotel is looking and feeling very tired. Decor, fittings etc need updating. Spa was closed. The net curtain in our bedroom was split /torn from top to bottom, radiator in the bathroom was leaking and had to be wrapped in a towel. Breakfast was average - no butter, only fruit was some water melon which looked as if it had been there a while, bacon was very crispy, poor tea and coffee facilities. Only 1 member of staff on duty.

The spa was closed and it was on the dirty side. Needs a bit of TLC

Only choice of food at midday was 3 sandwiches. Pint, large glass of wine and two pappy white bread sandwiches with chips and cheap ketchup that had been put into Tiptree jars(!) wasn’t the best start for £38. Hotel was empty as spa was out of action (seems to have been the case for over a month but was only given a few days notice of this). Checked into room early and it was the hottest dampest room I’ve ever been in, asked to change and was given an equally hot but dry room (I gave up at this point although perhaps should have had a third attempt). Thermostat on radiator set to minimum yet still pumping out heat. Everything was clean but some basics of temperature control and being able to offer a lunch menu would mean you could get past the very tired decor

I book for one night because I had a spa and I get there and the spa I was close. I asking for the money back because I didn’t stay there and not refund.

Good location.

Rooms, en-suite bathrooms and corridors had very old fashioned and out-dated decor which would have been fashionable in the late 70s/early 80s but not in 2026. Needs refurbishing. The Spa was closed during our stay which was disappointing, but the hotel proactively informed us of this, which is to their credit.
