Been to a business meeting here and never knew it existed. The perfect private location for meetings. One manager running the place. Visibility of female manager with attention to detail in service and checking on customers. Restaurant staff friendly and take care of every need. Privately owned and undergoing changes, manager and staff strive for customer satisfaction. This place could be a key attraction for visitors in the Mornigside area. Good luck with the changes. Will refer colleagues here for meetings

The hotel is rated five star but falls short in this regard. maintenance and modernization is necessary. The air conditioning for example was noisy and old and broke down, no USB points in the room, tile missing in the shower dead pot plant on the balcony....

This is a charming converted Baron's house, hight ceilings, dark wood and period furniture. What really sets it apart is the charm and hospitality of the staff, especially Jean Francois! The standards are high here, food is top class, hotel is beautiful and I highly recommend it. WiFi a bit slow.

the shower floor needs to be cleaned and the general upkeep needs attention eg cant lock the room door from inside -- not good experience

Fantastiskt litet hotell i lugnt område och vacker utsikt över Durban. Bra service och trevlig personal. Mycket god mat från restaurangen.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet, pleasant and safe surroundings. Excellent breakfast and delicious dinner. Warm swimming pool.

Friendly staff, great food and service; but shy blankets (nowhere to be found). Cable TV options not ideal for young family.

The place is lovely, the house is great as was the food. My only issues were they could do with a reception bell as it was very hard sometimes to get staff attention quickly - but when you did get their attention, service was great. The location is best suited to people who have their own car, as is quite residential. But there is still a lovely view of the ocean.

lovely building, but need to be refurbished. The door of the room didn't shut without locking, which was not mended during out 3 nights stay. There was a wedding going on on Saturday, which made quite noisy, disturbing our sleep a bit. We should be notifed about this event in advance.
