Breakfast was amazing. The flat, sandy beach was wonderful.

We stayed in one of the beachfront villas with hot tub and we were lucky enough to witness a two-toed sloth coming down from his tree right outside our patio! The food in Costa Rica is delicious and this resort serves gourmet cuisine at the on-site restaurant, breakfast, lunch, and dinner with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We had the continental plan so breakfast was included but the food was so good we also had a few meals (steak and taco soup were both delicious I did not take advantage of the on-site spa but it offers a wide range of rejuvenating treatments inspired by Costa Rican traditions. Whether you're seeking adventure or tranquility, Alma del Pacifico caters to every traveler with a variety of exciting activities—from surfing and horseback riding to nature tours and yoga on the beach. With its distinctive architecture, rich artistic ambiance, and exceptional personalized service, Alma del Pacifico really stands out and would recommend this place to all my friends and family. Beautifully designed hotel, it’s close to Parrita where you can explore local restaurants (Sharky’s for a quick bite, chicken tenders are a must try and La Trattoria Italiana for the best ceviche evaaaaaah) get some groceries and Chili-Guaro (a popular Costa Rican drink). It’s the perfect choice for discerning travelers who wish to explore the wonders of Manuel Antonio while enjoying the serenity and direct beach access that only Esterillos Este can offer.

The most incredible perfect stay! Staff is amazing! Attention to all details! Grounds are immaculate! Rooms are huge and even have a water bottle in the fridge that you can refill because the water is filtered! The breakfast is amazing! I have nothing but praise for this place! I’ve travelled a lot!! But this is the best stay I’ve ever had! The location is a perfect jump spot to access all the activities in this area! Zip lining, Nauyaka waterfalls, Manuel Antonio national park, Quepos! And there are many restaurants less than one kilometer away at the plaza! I will definitely tell everyone about this place! And I’ll be back!

Small beach front hotel in a very non-touristy area between Quepos and Jako in Punterenas, Costa Rica. 2 hour drive from San Jose. A number of rooms are right on the beach - we walked out our patio door, onto a small patch of grass, and then the sandy beach to the ocean. Wild life included flocks of McCaws Beautiful. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant on site. Miles and miles of beach to walk down, also included a lovely swimming pool and area.

The location, breakfast, and the accommodations were excellent.

There was one employee that just seemed bothered by us but was pleasant to other guests. We ordered dinner and the fish tacos was just one gigantic taco (like a burrito folded in half) and the grilled sea bass just tasted like the char from the grill and it just overpowered the meal. The bed was very firm, which may be great for some but not great for side sleepers.

We had spent 3 nights in the jungle in the Osa and two nights at Manuel Antonio National Park when we booked three nights at Alma del Pacifico. This was wonderful. Our check-in was handled by Ashley who was very helpful. Our room was a private, walled-in cabana close to the swimming pool with a short walk to the beach. The room was airy, clean and tastefully appointed with an indoor and outdoor shower. The food was wonderful and the wait staff were very good, especially Angie and Freddy who helped us with our imperfect Spanish. After dinner, we would have drink at the bar that was close to the beach, Great to watch the sun go down. The facilities were top notch. The pool was great as was the ocean. My husband and I both used the spa and I got a wonderful neck and shoulder massage from Yelena (apologies if I misspelled her name). After hiking through National Parks with a lot of camera equipment for almost a week, she worked wonders on my neck and shoulders.

That we had to leave.

This is a wonderful hotel and resort in a very quiet part of Costa Rica, yet so close to all the Natural Parks and activities. It is right on the ocean - you actually walk out of your room, on to your patio, and then you are on the beach and the ocean. You can walk for miles, and see McCaws fly right in front of you. They have a wonderful restaurant and a wonderful pool area.

The rooms, the installations, the spa

Our experience at Alma del Pacífico was truly exceptional. The hotel offers an impressive combination of privacy and natural beauty, with spacious villas just steps away from the beach. The setting provides a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury. What truly set our stay apart, however, was the outstanding service. Every member of the staff was attentive, courteous, and genuinely welcoming throughout our visit. My wife especially enjoyed her time at the spa, which she absolutely loved.

While our overall experience was wonderful, we believe the pool area could benefit from additional shaded spaces. Although there are a few tables available, the existing shade was somewhat limited during peak sun hours. Adding more umbrellas or sun-protected areas would greatly enhance guest comfort and encourage longer stays around the pool.
