Apartmani Teo

Staying at these apartments we really felt like we were brought in to the family! We have just got back from an amazing trip to Croatia but Teo was by far our favourite host. Always on hand with tips for Hvar and so helpful in arranging our onward travel plans. The homemade grappa is to die for and Teo's stepmother does a fantastic job at keeping the place spotless and running flawlessly! We stayed in two rooms and the double room/terrace/sea view was our favourite because the balcony was huge and great for sitting and looking over Hvar. This was amazing value and really made our trip. I can't wait to come back!

Up the hill from the town, so wire a walk you the hill each time you return. Parking available. Very friendly and informative host. Very clean. Recommended

The welcome received at the apartment was brilliant. The owner Teo took the time to pick us up and drive us to his apartment (which was hardly necessary as it was a 5-minute walk from the centre of town/ferry port), offered us a drink on arrival and talked us through a map of Hvar with highlights and recommendations. Any questions we had he was happy to answer and he also provided cake and home-made liqueur for our enjoyment. The apartment itself was on of several occupying the upper floor of the family home so he was always around if required. The room was a decent size and included a small kitchen for convenience. The location was also great, a 5-minute walk to the main town square but surrounded by residential area for a quiet nights sleep. A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Would recommend this apartment in a heart beat and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Hvar. Teo was a great host.Location: a bit up a hill, 10 min to be exact, but if you enjoy some exercise like us, that'll be pleasant. We arrived the hard way. Got off the boat and went right, then up some steps and through streets. Eventually we found the place, it was hard because streets did not have names and we used a google map to deduct where to go. Teo welcomed us with an ice cold beer to drink. Turns out that he could have picked us up from the old town center not far from the ferry. Learn from us- get off the ferry and call him directly using his phone number provided though booking. I'd you don't have a phone that works in Croatia, the you can find the tourist center near the ferry and ask them to call. Apartment: we stayed in the first apartment, which is right off the entance steps. We loved it! Nice bath, bedroom,small and cozy kitchen, which had all the things you need for cooking, even wine and beer openers. Plus, some oil and spices to get you going. The highlight was the terrace, we ate all the meals there. So cozy with lights at nights. There is also a bucket and a drying rack. They offer machine wash at 70 kuna, which is about $12 usd. Hvar itself: the old town is small but cute. Some restaurants, pubs, stores. We tried going to Mlini and Parmizana beaches via taxi boats, so worth it! Wish we stayed more than 3 nights to check out other islands.

Teo was our host and he was amazing! Very helpful, nice and spoke great English! His mother was also very sweet & helpful. The room was fine. The balcony was a nice touch as well. The mother made homemade cherry grappa that we were hesitant about at first but it was love at first sip! Delicious!!! They also brought homemade cookies when we checked in. The parking was free & right outside our room (a big plus). The trek down to the waterfront was pretty crazy. A lot of steps and steep walking paths but getting down to the water was pretty simple besides that. Overall, a great place to stay with amazing hosts.

A very nice modern apartment. The walk up the hill from the old town takes you past a brilliant lookout over the old town. Teo was a fantastic host.

Teo's apartments are a typical "apartmani" as they call them in Croatia. A family shares their home with you. In Teo's place you get your own bathroom and the rooms are clean and comfortable with an AC as well. They have parking for upto 4 cars. Which helped us a lot since we had a rental. What made this stay an exceptional one for us was Teo's mother who prepared coffe for us in the morning and served us orange juice and cookies. It was fantastic. We felt like we are staying with our cousin and our aunt was serving us breakfast. I mean the place may not be far apart from the others but this little touch made our day and this has been one of the greatest moments for us as travellers.

This place is cheap and therefore dont expect The Ritz. Teo the owner is a wonderful person who lets you keep your privacy yet if you fancy a chat tells you about wonderful stories of being a DJ 30 yrs ago, working on the front line during the war but also his love for football, tennis and culture. The apartments are excellently kitted out and a simple stroll from the harbour up the hill. Genuinely if you want to meet real Croatians but stay for cheap and live in a real part of town stay here. Really wonderful experience.
