King's Rest Motel

Very friendly people very clean room. Late checkout was given as well and the manager was very helpful and friendly

I think the main reason I liked this property so much is because I really liked the owners. KK & his wife were the coolest! 😎. They are very kind and caring people and you can feel that they truly care about their guests and that made me feel safe and I was able to get a really good rest there. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and the grounds were well kept and had pretty flower beds at each pillar of the building. There was a pretty good restaurant right next store that I walked over to when I got hungry. There is ample parking and you can park directly outside of your room (which I thought was great). All in all I recommend this motel to anyone in the Gilroy area in need of a basic, safe, comfortable and clean room ran by two very nice people. I myself will definitely be staying again the next time I’m in that area again. 😊

Friendly registration. Close to downtown. Quiet except the occasional train passing by.

Not too happy since the front door was t working properly.. the phone cord to the phone would plug in so I could use the phone and the WiFi went out at 5am and I had to wake up the manager to get that going which took over 2 hours. Won’t stay there again

Nicely updated interiors, very clean, fan on ac/heater handy to drown out street noise. No shampoo, so bring your own!

Extremely pleased with the cleanliness, which brought us here. Everything seemed great until Saturday night. Very noisy. Thin walls. Won't go into what we heard next door at 2:30 in the morning. Backs up to a sports bar. When we returned at 6 p.m. from our day out on Sunday, they were cleaning our room. At 6 p.m.? The shower had just enough hot water to keep it from freezing you. Couldn't even get warm out of it. Sunday night was much quieter. Sorry, can't recommend.

Look, the manager is really nice and was really great. He was really helpful and kind. But, unfortunately it does not cover up the fact that this is an old weathered motel that just falls short for the price it costs. Small rooms, paper thin walls, no continental breakfast, only cheap bar soap (no shampoo), old bedding and furniture and noising street. I knew this was the cheapest option in Gilroy so my expectations were low already, but it even fell short of those expectations.

Did like friendly service. Didn't like the load music from bar next door.

Nice little place to stay for a night. Front desk service was great and I liked the fact that bathroom had a shower stall instead of bathtub(hotels we've stayed in in the past have all had clogged up bathtubs). Would stay here again.

The room is tiny, really tiny, but clean; except for one disgusting stain (looked like blood and semen) on the underside of the bedspread. The shower has a misting head which some people love but I find difficult to rinse some body areas. TV has no volume, I guess to not disturb neighbors but so low it’s hard to hear. No ventilation in the bathroom. The window curtain blocks the air conditioning vents. There are no power outlets by the headboard and the motel had no extension cords. Good luck if you use a CPAP or other device while you sleep. We had to go out and buy some. The refrigerator works well and was well defrosted. If it’s the only game in town I’d stay there again, but not my first choice by any means.
