Hotel clean and tidy Due to shape of hotel , winter sun onto pool was limited Food good, restaurant more like a cafeteria due to busy areas, would like tighter restrictions on dress code in evening as some guests looked like they we in beach wear Berta making omelettes at breakfast was wonderful, always smiling Most of waiters worked hard, all friendly Suites were spacious, cleaning staff worked hard Reception staff efficient and friendly Disappointed to have to pay extra for a safe key in the room

This was our first time here, and we stayed for two wonderful weeks—from the very moment we arrived, we knew we’d chosen the right place. The warm and friendly welcome on arrival immediately made us feel relaxed and at home, setting the tone for the whole holiday. The food was excellent, with an impressive variety every day. There was always something new to try, everything was beautifully presented, and the quality was consistently high. It’s clear the kitchen team takes real pride in what they do. Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly maintained, ideal for a longer stay. The cleanliness throughout the entire hotel was outstanding—rooms, public areas, and facilities were spotless at all times, which really added to our comfort and peace of mind. Overall, HOVIMA Suites Costa Adeje exceeded our expectations in every way. Fantastic service, great food, immaculate surroundings, and a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We had an amazing holiday and would 100% recommend this hotel.

Not stayed at the Hovima Suites before now but I have to say we fell in love with them on our stay a week or two ago...We tried book our usual stay nearby but it wasn’t available for the dates we needed - so stayed here instead and what a find... The hotel has been refurbished so everything is in good condition - the rooms are a generous size - all the loungers / umbrellas etc are in good condition and no real signs of wear and tear like you usually see in these places... We booked the Excellence package - which I believe is a relatively new concept for the hotel. It gives you certain extra benefits such as: • Access to certain (but not all) premium drinks on AI – such as Gordons Gin instead of the local gin. • Use of exclusive areas within the hotel e.g Sundeck with Balinese Beds. (some pics included) • Minibar and hot drinks facilities in your room. • 2x Evening meals at the a la carte Italian Restaurant (if you stay for a week). • Access to an a la carte breakfast area (which we didn’t use but others told us was first class). We had an Excellence Room with Seaview which gave us both a separate bath and shower, along with twin basins – handy if a few of you need to get ready at the same time. There are 2 main pool areas – one for families and the other for adults only – these weren’t congested for us but could be in high season. Nice to have the choice of not having kids running around you though (if you go Adult). Evening entertainment was really good with an odd exception. Roof top bar is also great but note you will have to pay for drinks up there – price dependent on your board status – We got 2 Pina Coladas and a frozen Strawberry Daiquiri for about £21, but the Pina Coladas were the nicest I’ve ever tasted and served in metal pineapples… Star of the show has to be Aldo, who did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. He really is a breath of fresh air and a real asset to their Company. I believe he is personally pioneering the Excellence venture and hopefully it will be successful with him steering things! The only minor points I can find are: • Not a great selection of poolside snacks – there were burgers / hotdogs and natchos, but little else TBH. • An odd area in the hotel was under-used – being only for the Excellence guests. This might just be because we were out of season and I’m sure it wouldn’t be the case in July / August etc. (we stayed in January). • Buffet restaurant includes a small adult only area and a separate small area for those guests on the excellence package. I’m told they used to have a separate adult only restaurant but it was closed due to lack of use? I find this strange as those using the adult only pool etc would surely benefit from an adult only restaurant too? Just my two penneth… • Italian Restaurant – Despite attentive service, waiting times were slow, and menu choice was a little restrictive. All in all though, we had a brilliant stay at the Hovima Suites and it’s now our first choice for Costa Adeje.

Outstanding food!

There are some genuinely good things at this hotel. The rooms are very well appointed with a plenty of living space. It has probably some of the nicest and varied food choices I've ever experienced in a buffet setting, even compared to some 5 star establishments. A special shout out to Aldo, the Excellence guest host, who went out of his way to ensure we were happy and to resolve a few niggles we experienced upon arrival. The staff in general are very accommodating and carry out their duties in a pleasant and friendly demeanour. However there are some odd, poor and downright bizzare problems with the place. There is a real issue with drinking vessels at the hotel. Whiskey glasses the size of a ⅓rd of a pint are served for all inclusive beer, yet other draught beer that you pay for is delivered in regular pint glasses. I was told off for trying to use a bigger cup to get a cup of coffee at lunch even though you can use the same bigger cup at breakfast. In general, there is a general feeling of being watched by some catering and bar staff to ensure rules are adhered to, which ruins what should be a relaxed holiday feeling. There are no decent lounges, all bars are outside, you can't get a drink without getting wet if it's raining. The Main bar is dreadful and has a soulless cafeteria feel, with all entertainment carried out outside on a stage, meaning you need a jacket/coat during winter months when evening temperatures are relatively cool. There is a distinct waste of space in this hotel which at times creates a crowded feel. The buffet gets extremely busy, particularly at breakfast, and you will struggle to get a table at times. Also the amount of tables allocated to Excellence guests seems excessive, compounding the capacity issues. Another buffet area has been repurposed as a specialty restaurant, yet half of the space remains unused. Another bar and restaurant area is used for Excellence guests only at breakfast, but remains unused the rest of the day. Some serious thought needs to be given to reinstating this additional second buffet and using the Excellence breakfast area as the specialty restaurant going forward. Lighting in all eating areas is very dim. Turn down service for Excellence guests at 5.00pm is far too early. And finally the Shower floors are very slippy and in my view quite dangerous. This hotel has recently been acquired by Hovima, having previously been Labranda, and some of the old signage remains relating to areas/bars that no longer exist, leading to some confusion when first arriving. In fact the overall feel is that they are still ironing out these transition issues, and work still needs to be done to sort this. In summary, this is a nice hotel ruined by poor capacity decisions and silly rules, meaning the 4 stars give it a 3 star feeling.

Great hotel in all aspects. All staff very friendly and helpful. All facilities were excellent including lovely heated pools. Location was perfect, near but not on top of lots of bars restaurants and shops. Food was top notch. Room was large and very modern. It’s not very often you can get a proper 4* hotel but this is probably 4* plus.

Just had a week at the Hovima suites in Costa Adeje and we thoroughly loved our stay here. The food was lovely the staff were ever so polite exceptionally clean rooms cleaned every day the animation team were so enthusiastic and the staff at reception were so helpful and always smiling. A glass of Proseco was a nite welcoming touch too. We would definitely return to the Hovima suites when we come back to Costa Adeje you will not be disappointed I highly recommend this hotel.
