I was not expecting the peace, serenity, and tranquility of this all-inclusive resort. It’s calm, and perhaps that is the vibe of Thassos, but it is felt here at Alea. At breakfast, it seems like the resort is at maximum capacity, but when you are poolside or at the private beach, you do not feel crowded, pool and beach chairs are always available, and there is never a long wait for a cold coffee frappe or cocktail. The food at the beach and evening restaurants is delicious; a variety of choices each day of our week long stay. Despite the number of guests, it is quiet and calm (except for the vibrant evening entertainment at the lobby bar, which is a fun nightcap before retiring to the comfortable and impeccably clean rooms). There are accommodation options from private pools to standard rooms, suitable for singles, couples, and families. The staff and service were wonderful here. From the reception desk to every bar, everyone was welcoming and accommodating. A special shoutout to Sofie Lena at the poolside bar for her amazing hospitality and smiling face as she prepares endless drink options. It was an absolute pleasure to talk with her. The rooftop ala-carte restaurant was absolutely fantastic. We ate there twice and the food and service echoed the experience of the resort. If you time your reservation, you will see the most amazing sunset from the rooftop restaurant. Huge shoutout to Rosie at the restaurant for her hospitality, welcoming and professional service, and excellent wine recommendations. We recommend Alea Hotel without reservation and with full confidence. We would absolutely stay here again when visiting Thassos.
