Rifugio Da Giulia

The owner of the hotel was super friendly, upgraded us for free to a very quiet room. The breakfast included everything you can wish for and we even could have had it on our little terrace in front of our room if it hadn't rained. The pool was clean and bigger than imagined.

Solo una notte di passaggio. L'hotel è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e ha un parcheggio interno. Le camere sono belle e ben arredate. Colazione con prodotti freschi e di buona qualità.

Our visit to the Tuscan wine country was a delightful break during our whirlwind tour to Rome and Florence. The accommodations were comfortable for our family of 3. The breakfast was great and the proprietor, Ricardo, spoke English and was charming and eager to make our visit pleasant. He had great ideas of restaurants and sights to see during our visit and was helpful in making reservations at a restaurant that specialized in gluten free Italian food in Grossetto. The grounds of Rifugio da Giulia were beautiful and well maintained. Our visit was only two days and we drove the half hour to glorious wine tasting and scenery in Montalcino.

Super friendly. Nice room. I stayed off season so it was very quiet. And fairly priced. The nearby town is interesting but the point is the whole area is fun, interesting, beautiful, great foods and wines. Secure parking off the street. Close to a highway. Would like to return but for a longer stay. Not for the immediate area but as a base for the area.

Very large 2-part room, with kitchen area, large bed, swimming pool, and very reasonable price. Only drawback is location - you should have a car. Service was very friendly, as soon as we arrived the guy did a tour for us of the entire place, and then shared some trip options that we can embark on from there. No pool towels so bring your own (though they said we can use the ones in the room). Wifi receiption was not great.
