Econo Lodge Dexter

We liked that it was right off the main highway but that was about it. There was bbq grills and old furniture sitting out around the property and the people in the room next to us were up and loud all night long and after driving most of the day and working we came in to no sleep and no king size rooms available and o ly 3 half size pillows available. Coffee maker was a mini so we had to make 4 pots just to fill our cups to go. We were not at all comfortable and had to keep our firearms handy.

It's always lovely when I come to the econo the employees are always sweet and the manager/owner is great!!

It was clean and service was ok, breakfast was awful, could definitely tell it was old.

The property was dirty and old. The service was terrible. It was bad. I do not recommend this place at all. 1 star!

The entire place needs an update. Everything is rundown. The carpets are disgusting and left my kids feet black. Everything was bad. Front desk was very nice.

The website says you can pay at chech-in, what it doesn’t tell you is that if you plan to pay cash they expect you to pay a $25 deposit on the room because they don’t trust you not to use the room as a meth lab or something similar, according to the guy who so rudely checked me in. Also took him an extra ten minutes to check me in because he kept having to stop what he was doing to take care of his daughter, who looked to be about two. I checked in around 4 pm, and there were three other cars in the lot… I was placed near the lobby, so it sounded like a herd of elephants all evening and night long until I finally checked out. The shower had big chunks of mold growing along the door, so the entire room stank of mold bad enough that my mold allergies reacted to it and I had trouble breathing through my nose by the morning. I was lucky I didn’t need to use my inhaler. The only reason I didn’t complain was because I asked him to change my room when I first checked in and had trouble with the volume on my tv, and instead of complying he got the volume to work instead, like it was more important to make me look stupid than to make me happy. Sad thing is, I think he was the owner, which just goes to show that some people don’t belong in the service industry. On the plus side, the linens were clean, no bed bugs or anything like that. The AC worked, although it would have been nice to have an extra blanket since the bedspread was so thin. The mirror over the sink was crac.

Nice friendly staff clean room however the entire place is desperately needed attention. Very tired worn out. Substandard

There was no one at the desk. I had to ring a bell and wait. When we opened our room, there was roaches. The ceiling in the hallway was covered in a tarp, the whole place smelled like mildew. When we went back downstairs to check out, had to wait again. When the clerk did show up, there was no apologies made. Even when he finally asked why we were checking out, he made a motion like we were lying. We will never stay there again. But…Expedia was awesome about getting my refund in a quick manner!

Very nice clean facility.

Hotel was very outdated. Had a musk smell in hallways and in the room. A lot of rust on bathroom knobs and toilet. Also I asked for late check out and manager agreed it was at 12pm. I received a loud knock on my door from manager apologizing that the carpet cleaning company was there to clean room. And this was about 1030am. Also asked me to just step out of room for 20 mins so they can clean carpet and I could go back in room! Very unprofessional.
