JYRAAN is the best for Dinner. Both Chefs and Service are great. The basics rooms has bath tub. Spa is great here. The pool is enjoyable. It is centrally located. Pondicherry Cafe Dimsums and Tea is great.

Artisan Lounge food and service was not upto the mark. The Service Supervisor didn't understand my order and hence the food was not upto the mark. I ordered Sautéed vegetables, it was not well cooked, the beans were difficult to chew. Few veggies fell on the table during the service.

If this is what a “luxury” experience looks like at an Accor property, then the brand seriously needs to revisit its definition of hospitality. The issues started right after booking. I selected a pay-on-arrival rate and used a card I’ve used multiple times with Accor. Yet, I was contacted and told my card “didn’t go through.” Let’s call this what it really was—a forced attempt to pre-authorize a payment they weren’t entitled to take yet. When I didn’t comply, I was casually threatened with cancellation. I called their bluff and told them to cancel. Unsurprisingly, they didn’t. Clearly, the goal wasn’t policy—it was pressure. At check-in, things somehow got worse. Without proper explanation, they proceeded to block ₹17,000 on my card for a stay that was effectively ₹11,000 after redeeming points. Overcharging first and explaining later seems to be the standard operating procedure here. For a hotel that claims to be premium, the lack of transparency is almost laughable. And then came room service—arguably the most bizarre part of the experience. I was told I could pay after my meal, which sounded reasonable. Instead, the staff member hovered like a debt collector, returning every 10–15 minutes with a card machine while I was still eating. I eventually had to pause my meal midway just to get him to stop interrupting. After taking the payment, he walked off without even checking if anything needed to be cleared. Efficient? No. Awkward and unprofessional? Absolutely. From start to finish, this felt less like a luxury stay and more like being managed by a team that doesn’t trust its guests and doesn’t understand basic service etiquette. Between the questionable billing practices, empty threats, and intrusive service, this has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I’ve had—especially given the brand name attached to it.

Lovely spread. The dimsum was amazing. Reon was very helpful.
