AUSki in ski out, cozy old school atmosphere. Onsen was great after a ski! Loved Leon the dog mascot that lives there and even has his own brand of juice. the shop is underrated as has almost every convenience you would need within the building
Would have liked a bit more variety with the buffet dinner, however it was reasonably priced, and as lot of the notes say there are not many other options.
USThe location was great! The staff were excellent. Onsen was terrific.
The food is lacking. Miso soup was room temperature. Hard boiled eggs were runny. The sterno was not on under the pans.
AUMy friend got into a pretty bad skiing accident that required her to be taken to the hospital. The hotel staff really went above and beyond for us. They were the ones who took us to the initial medical room (the ski resort kind of just left us with them.. not sure if that’s the protocol). Later when we had to go to a proper hospital, the hotel staff was kind of drive us there (given no taxi out) and helped us communicate with the hospital. Super appreciative all of their help. Truely wonderful people who went above and beyond

Overdue a facelift, facilities and rooms are tired and show signs of wear and need a deep clean.

No place to socialise after dinner. Shiga Kogen has no apres skills at all. Bring a good book!
AUThe staff were nice. Ski hire in the hotel was convenient.
Just a dreary, empty room. No tea or coffee supplied, it had to be purchased. There was an electric kettle but no cups. You could not shower in the room as there was NO HOT WATER. There were no cupboards or shelves in the room to put anything, we lived out of suitcases on the floor. The tv was tiny with terrible sound. There were minimal power points. No lamp in the room, no chair in the room. We had one key between 3 guests which was a pain. The only dinner option was an overpriced buffet and there are NO restaurants nearby open after 3pm.
