The hotel is very nicely designed, clean and comfortable. The breakfast and restaurant on the ground floor are great. The location right on the river is beautiful to wake up to and also close to the main nightlife attractions. I also enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, and also the outdoor bar area where you can sip a few drinks whilst enjoying the view of the river.

I requested a room that had a balcony and a view of the river. When I arrived I was given a room on the first floor that overlooked the river but did not have a balcony. This was around Christmas so I guess they were near capacity, but I imagine a room near the top overlooking the river with a balcony would be great.

Our family of 7 - two generations had the most wonderful week at the Himawari Hotel. Our room (306) was spacious - 3 double bedrooms with ensuites, large kitchen (not needed with the restaurant downstairs & easy access to street food), spotless & the perfect outlook to enjoy the river views of the Water Festival (but out of the crowds). The roads were closed for the festival but the position was perfect within walking distance of many attractions. We could not speak highly enough of the staff who looked after our every need. Thank you Himawari for making our Phnom Penh holiday special.

Good location, on the bank of the Mekong river, close to the main tourist attractions. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. Washing machine. Spacious place.

I got a room facing the main street. Extremely loud. Windows are nothing but sound proofed, the other bass sound was coming from air conditions, another one from the kitchen hood. Walls needed painting. Furniture was worn out. Overall - quite disappointing.
