Would be better with the bedrooms separated

Great location tucked up in the forest

It’s smelled like mold! There was no fan in the bathroom and black mold all over the ceiling. The basement with the three singles also smelled like mold.

Friendly welcome, happy to assist in any way, close to shops and Treaty of Waitangi sacred ground.

Second downstairs room had 3 single beds. Suitable for family but not really for third adult. Otherwise a nice stay

Great staff, good fascilities, very close to everything.

Nice green environment. Good balcony with bbq, great bathroom. Good location for Bay of Islands activities although 20 min walk to town.

Bed opposite kitchenblock was a bit odd. Looked less modern than in pictures.

The setting was pretty and rustic.

The receptionist. From the moment I drove in, I was berated for the speed that I entered the property. I was told that it was posted to slow down but after being verbally attacked by the greeter I looked again and it clearly was not marked until half way down the drive and even that was very small. (In her defense, I was coming in the property fast [20 kg/hr when the speed was 5 kg/hr] but I apologized three times and this lady would not let it go.) I did have a second interaction with this very unpleasant woman when I had the audacity to request more towels after I had to use a couple to defrost the ice box because the door to the refrigerator wouldn’t close due to the extensive ice buildup. She was completely condescending and off-putting. This was such an ugly experience for my first day in such a beautiful country. Also, they could do some ant 🐜 mitigation. The ants even too up resident in the toilet. Weird!

Nice size apartment. Comfortable for four adults (2 twin beds). Lovely property.

The lower level bedroom had a musty smell

Love the setting and the deck, nice big bathroom and bbq to use

Lack of parking for extra vehicle, a bit musty downstairs and would love a separate room
