Great pub atmosphere with an open fire and good beer.

Choice of food a bit limited. Rooms a little small and noisy from upstairs. Breakfast not available during the week.

J’ai passé en décembre 2025 un séjour absolument divin dans cet établissement. Tout était parfait : le décor de l'hôtel, la chambre — tant pour la décoration que pour l’excellente qualité de la literie — ainsi que le personnel. Une mention toute particulière pour le patron de l’hôtel, un homme extrêmement charmant et bienveillant. Il n’a pas hésité à prendre le temps d’échanger avec nous, à nous offrir son cidre fait maison ainsi que plusieurs cafés, des attentions très appréciées. Le restaurant était remarquable, le repas sincèrement délicieux et de grande qualité et la décoration, typique des cottages anglais, combinée à l’atmosphère chaleureuse du dîner au coin du feu, a rendu ce moment encore plus mémorable. Encore merci pour ce merveilleux séjour. J’espère sincèrement avoir l’occasion d’y revenir un jour.

As it's an inn, I will separate it in two groups: the pub and the room: 1. The pub: a typical english pub-style environment of which you unfortunately do not find many anymore. It's clearly a meeting place for locals, yet without the noise you'd find in London pubs. A nice selection of drinks & food, dogs are welcome, in a very cosy, even romantic setting, with the low ceiling, woodworks and open fires. Unlike large cities, people here do connect and chat with eachother, even if they don't know you. Sophie, one of the waitresses, did a fantastic job - not to say the others didn't, but she took care of serving us from start to finish, always with a smile. The food is great, and portions are perfect. 2. While the room we stayed in is may semm a little small to some, it was more than enough for us. After all, it's only to sleep and to enjoy a weekend away - not to work. Heating is sufficiently strong and blinds are doing exactly what they should: keep the light and frost out. One disadvantage is that they work so well, you don't believe it's daytime until you open them :-D. The mattress was really great and there was a choice of pillows.

The water pressure could be slightly higher.

La struttura è molto accogliente, con un’atmosfera intima e calda e lo staff è stato gentilissimo!

Purtroppo, la pulizia è stata pari a zero (ad eccezione del letto). Il pavimento era davvero sporco: Abbiamo dovuto comprare dei panni per raccogliere i mucchi di peli e capelli presenti in tutto il pavimento…

We had a superb stay, and the live music was a real bonus. The food was simply delicious.
