Hampton Inn & Suites Elk City

This hotel is in desperate need of cleaning and updating. I normally remove the top blanket from hotel beds, but on these beds there is only one duvet cover and it has stains all over it. Luckily there was a blanket in the closet. The walls have marks, scuffs, stains. The smell is musty. I am shocked they can charge $130 for this room. We are only here for one night and don’t have to do much other than sleep. Won’t use the shower which is good since it doesn’t look great either. Hampton Inns aren’t normally a top end hotel, but they’re certainly cleaner than this one.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Several dining options nearby. The hotel is being renovated, therefore the pool was closed. Elevators dirty.

This hotel is under renovations. Totally understandable. However, several families that stayed there this weekend had an awful experience. Air conditioning wasn't working properly in 3 out of 4 rooms, 2 of the 4 rooms had the air conditioner leak, soaking the carpet and personal belongings. Someone or something had a explosive diarrhea on the floor in front of the elevator, which was brought to the front desk clerk, Cici's attention. Two hours later the smell still awful. Cici comped one family's room, and when another asked if they were getting comped CiCI threw up her hands, yelled and told the guests to leave and they weren't welcomed back because they complained about diarrhea on the floor. Overall awful experience, will not stay there again and dont recommend for baseball or softball families who are looking for a place to stay in Elk City.

Check in was good. But when we got to our room by the A/C floor was soaked. Not a little a LOT. Went and said something no other rooms available . Offered a discount on our room. Well that night A/C went out. Sweating no sleep. Woke to now the floor soaked all around our bed. Luggage wet daughter's softball socks soaked from floor. Opened door at 8am to having dog poop outside our door with just papertowels over it. Vacuuming and banging going on at 8am. Had the do not disturb sign on our door and housekeeping knocks at 8:20am about cleaning our room like seriously whats the point of the sign on our door. Went down to complain. Manager on call CC. Horrible. Worst attitude. Said cause we complained we arnt welcome back because of our complaints. So, we are suppose to just be okay with everything and not say a word? Said they will comp our room. We shall see.

I slept well.

I book it so we could go swimming and they were doing renovations on the pool but it never said that on the website. I would have book somewhere if I would have known

breakfast was great, the lady was attentive and kept everything stock and wonderful.

I wanted to go swimming. I was not notified that the pool was closed for reconstruction. Its summer the pool being open is a must. I didn't enjoy the Smoked sausage, for breakfast.

Clean, nice neighborhood.

Nothing. The hotel is not brand new and showed normal wear and tare, but very nicely cleaned. Very pleased with the stay. Comfortable in every way.

My reservation was for two queen beds. When I got to the room, I realized it was a king bed with a sofa bed. My wife told me to go talk to the person at the front desk to ask what happened to our reservation. So I went down, and the front desk agent very calmly told me, “I’m sorry, but we’re oversold.” That was it—no further explanation, even though I made my reservation a month ago.
