Rissington Inn

Rissington Inn is a perfect spot to enjoy quiet beauty and good food. We enjoyed gourmet meals with reasonably priced wine each night for dinner. The wait staff worked hard to please us. Breakfast each morning was extensive and delicious. Our room had an old-fashioned bath tub, which we enjoyed with the provided bath salts and bubble bath. The only negative was ants on our porch, which made it difficult to enjoy reading and sipping a beverage on the porch. However, I recognize that we were the intruders from the ants point of view, so we just moved our reading into the indoor parlor. Another positive was its proximity to Kruger National Park.

Pleasant stay

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of our safari holiday in the Kruger. Everything about the place is brilliant. As soon as we walked in Chris and the staff immediately made us feel at home. The food is genuinely top notch, the bar is fantastic and the room simple clean and a genuinely lovely place to be. I will be back. The little things really made our stay very special; for example, there is a turndown service, a weather report is left on your bedside table and the fact there is no TV, Brilliant! They even washed the car for us on our day of departure.

We stayed for two nights and visited Kruger Park. Our rooms were spacious and well furnished. The entrance was a bit dodgy, but the hotel itself was perfect. The staff were very helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They made a lunch for our park trip very early in the morning and even washed our car before we left. The food was great and the atmosphere was very African and pleasant.

Fabulous service, wonderful food, superb room - an ideal base for visiting the Kruger

Great place. On first driving up it seems like it's in the middle of nowhere but once you get to the gates it's more like an African Oasis. Big room, nice friendly staff, and very good food. Didn't use the pool but very inviting... Now we would have possibly stayed another night but the room we had been given did not have aircon and it says that quite clearly in the room desciption (although some/most of the other rooms do appear to have aircon) but we did not appreciate how hot it was going to be without it - our mistake! Don't let this little niggle out you off though, it really is a great place and close enough to Kruger Park and some of the most beautiful scenery we have ever encountered.

From the moment we arrived they made us feel special and that nothing was too much trouble , our accomadation was fabulous and made our stay in Hazyview memorable , all the staff are friendly and the food was amazing . Could not recommend Rissington high enough will return and would encourage any friends or family travelling to South Africa for a safari to stay as the location is fantastic 10 minutes from a park gate .. keep up the great work amazing experience loved the place

This was such an amazing accommodation. I loved every second! The food was GREAT!!!!

This is a beautiful property surrounded by parklike setting. The rooms were beautiful. Our room was very large, had an indoor & outdoor shower, large patio with hammock, etc. Dinner in the main building was one of the best we had in five weeks. The bar area with balcony was charming. The owner & staff are very friendly and helpful. We were very sorry we did not stay longer. You need a car to get here. The road in is a little rough.

We booked one night in advance and ended up staying for three! The Rissington Inn was warm and welcoming and utterly accommodating. The restaurant had a surprisingly extensive and quite competently executed menu , not to mention an extensive list of South African wines! Highly recommended as a base for touring Southern Kruger Park.
