The Bay Tree Hotel

Well located. Quant and friendly staff

Been coming to the Bay Tree for years. Last trip before most recent was in October. Big family meal. It wasn’t up to old standards. Appreciate Fullers now own it. Tried it again very recently thinking it might have been a one off. The place was dead, very few people in it and staff on bar were busy doing jobs away from bar meaning service not ideal. Had three sandwiches, two came out incorrect and the other was on white rather than requested brown bread. They were whisked away and replaced but the brown bread was stale resulting in a couple of mouthfuls and a lot left. The chicken and bacon sandwiches were over cooked. The meat was hard and had to be chewed several times. When paying the bill the lady at the bar apologised but don’t take money off the bill. Bill paid with no tip. Disappointing. Many decent places in Burford and as a regular visitor to the town I will go to those instead. Disappointing visit, hope the place gets its self in order or don’t see it lasting much longer.

The whole experience was perfect. From booking, the reception was friendly and helpful. It's our second visit to the Bag Tree and everything is done to .make your stay a pleasure. The food was good and every member of the team was smiling and helpful. Great experience and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Thankyou

Cozy and comfortable environment

Excellent Central location for the cotswolds and visiting various places. Also perfect for Burford and it's pubs and restaurants

Location is great, having its own private carpark is definitely a selling point! Room is comfy and clean, staff are friendly and breakfast is in a very pretty dining room and a great selection! Overall, very happy with the stay!

Our room was very comfortable and had a wonderful view of the garden from the Juliet balcony. Unfortunately the blind on the other window had a broken chain which meant it could not easily be raised - this restricted the light coming into the room.
