The exterior and grounds are very nice, staff were helpful regarding my room move and the food is good

The inside feels tired. I stayed here a few years ago for work and loved it but I’m sad to say it’s gone downhill. My toilet wasn’t clean and I had to ask to move rooms because it smelt like an animal had died in my room. The bottom sheet also didn’t fit the mattress so was just bare under my pillow.

We loved the location and the charm of the entire property. We only had dinner on our night of arrival but it was excellent, breakfast, included in the price of the room, was also excellent. I can't fault a thing with regard to the property or the food on offer. The room was cosy and comfortable and a very spacious.

My one criticism was the water pressure in our bathroom. Now I know that in general the water pressure in the United Kingdom is not what we are used to in the United States, but the lack of water pressure in our room, made it impossible to take a shower. The water literally just dribbled out of the shower head.
