My partner and I enjoyed the remoteness of the property. It is in a beautiful building with spacious rooms. We dined like queen and king two nights in a row. The entire staff could not be more helpful and friendly. This is a gem!

"Great room. Lack of hospitality, poor breakfast quality, overall bad experience"

2.0

While the hotel boasts a beautiful interior and well-designed rooms, everything else was a disappointment. I arrived at 7:30 PM to find the entrance completely unlit and in total darkness. Navigating through, the right side was a construction zone, while the left featured a building that resembled the advertised images—but with no visible signage. Fortunately, I spotted a car approaching, which helped me locate the right area. I parked in the right-hand lot and made my way inside, only to find the hotel completely deserted. There was no one at the reception counter. A young waiter eventually checked me in, but without a greeting or any offer to assist with my luggage. I had to carry my suitcase from the parking lot to the building myself, as the gravel road made rolling it impossible. I was handed three keys without any explanation of their use or even which floor my room was on. The real disappointment, however, was breakfast. It was nothing like the "amazing" experience some travelers had described. Instead, the offerings consisted of low-quality, store-bought items. There were three types of croissants, all of which looked like failed attempts at butter bread. As a home baker and experienced traveler, I can easily assess food quality—and this was subpar. I gave them a chance by trying a plain croissant, but it was dry, stale, and far from what a croissant should be. The bread selection was equally uninspiring—dry, bland, and straight from a supermarket shelf. The only somewhat acceptable option was the whole wheat bread, but only in appearance. The hot food was just as disappointing. The cheese omelet was cold and rubbery, the prosciutto was overly dry and salty, and the salami was completely flavorless. The burrata cheese was spoiled—I had to spit it out. Desserts were store-bought, and the cookies were straight out of supermarket boxes. Even the bananas were old and freeze-damaged. The only fresh, edible items were the whole tomatoes. The yogurt was decent with fresh fruit, but that was about it. To top it off, the coffee was underwhelming. My latte was lukewarm, lacked coffee flavor, and had no whipped cream. I had to order a cappuccino instead, which was just passable. There was also no hot water available for tea. Overall, while the hotel's design is impressive, the lack of hospitality, poor breakfast quality, and overall experience made my stay deeply disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless management makes serious improvements.

"Great location…exceptional service "

10.0

Stunning property with stunning views. The room was exceptional…large comfortable beds. But the views! The restaurant downstairs was one of the best I’ve ever experienced, and I once lived in Italy for 11 years. The Ragu was best ever. The hosts and staff were friendly and did everything possible to make our stay wonderful

"Picturesque setting, charming hotel"

8.0

Stunning, peaceful location close to Montepulciano, fabulous full breakfast, luscious views.

The rooms weren't quite as "bougie" as we were expecting (considering the price), and there were certainly no 'extras'. Going in winter also means a much more diluted experience — the hotel is quiet, the pool is closed, the lovely outdoor seating wasn't much use, the winery was under construction. Can imagine this would be a dream in summertime, but maybe pricing should be adjusted to reflect the lesser winter offering.

"Stay here if you will not use the hotel facilities"

6.0

We liked their wine selection and location of the hotel. Stuff was very friendly and nice. Always willing to help Room was big

The room smelled badly. Also, when we went to checkout we found out of additional charges that were not made clear prior to using the facilities. Meaning, we were not informed they cost additional $ nor the amount. In addition we did a cooking class, which the lady was very nice; however, we didnt actually cook, we just helped with the pasta and it cost us a lot of money, that really upset us. the price should have 1/4 of what we paid.

It takes a bit of a drive to get into the property from one the more bigger roads but it is what makes this place so charming and beautiful among stretches of vineyards. The food and wine here were also amazing. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Rooms are super clean and charming as well. Loved my stay here and would definitely stay again!
