"Pleasant and decent value - unpretentious"

Slightly faded grandeur but clean and comfortable

The shower temp was temperamental and I also slipped on the shower floor and fortunately did not hurt myself apart from bruising.

L’hôtel est très atypique Restaurant très joli

Le personnel plus que douteux. Ne m’ont pas donné mon surclassement car j’avais un chien ( que j’avais mentionné) alors que c’est écrit « pet friends »… De plus, à moi on a demandé 50 livres de caution pour le chien et pas à mon amie qui en avait également un. Je soupçonne également un rapport sexuel entre les 2 employés à mon arrivée au Check out le matin. L’ambiance était très désagréable.

"Peaceful stay"

The place is off the main road so was really quiet and peaceful. All the staff were lovely and accomadating. The food was lovely and they had a singer there on the friday who was amazing and made the evening even more enjoyable. The room I stayed in was bigger than I expected as well, so really felt it got more than my moneys worth. Overall i was really impressed with the hotel.

The only criticism was in our room it had patio doors which were old and so ants and slugs got in, the ants were more the issue as some got on the bed so wasnt pleasant. So possibly the hotel just need to invest in new patio doors or create a natural repellant which stops insects getting in.

"A very pleasant and comfortable stay, staff were extremely helpful and polite."

The room was a great size, much bigger than we expected, and the bathroom had a large shower as well as a bath. It was light and bright and the beds were comfortable and there were extra chairs. The Stables restaurant and bar is a short walk across the courtyard and had great food and drinks selection, it was well worth booking with breakfast included.

It would be easy to lock yourself out if you forget to take your key with you!
