Hyatt Regency Cape Town

There was a huge amount of noise coming from the street at 02:30am, including a marching band playing directly outside the hotel. We were absolutely shocked that the windows are not double-glazed to mitigate this level of disturbance. What was even more concerning was that reception appeared unaware of the incident when we raised it the following morning at checkout. I find it hard to believe we were the only guests affected at that hour. The television quality was very poor snowy picture, limited channel selection, and no streaming services available on what is marketed as a smart TV. This was unexpected for a hotel of this standard. We also ordered room service breakfast, which arrived cold and dry, suggesting it had been standing for some time before being delivered to our room. On departure, we were surprised to be charged for parking. This was not clearly communicated and felt unreasonable given the level of the establishment. The bar mini-fridge in the room was completely empty, which again felt inconsistent with a supposed five-star experience. There was no turndown service during our stay. Additionally, we were charged for a cappuccino upon checkout, despite breakfast being included in our booking. Overall, the experience fell well below expectations. My wife works in the film industry as a Producer and has frequently heard feedback from clients who are hesitant to stay at this hotel unfortunately, we now better understand why.

TOUT ! ☺️ On a tout aimé de cet hôtel à Cape Town. Il est bien situé....près de Bo-Kaap, la chambre est confortable, le déjeuner est copieux, le personnel est très accueillant et aidant. Nous sommes arrivés ici tard en soirée, car nous étions logés dans un autre hôtel de Cape Town qui n'était pas satisfaisant pour nous. Le personnel a été accommodant et nous a traité aux petits soins tout au long de notre séjour et ça a fait toute la différence! Cet hôtel est plus qu'un 5 étoiles !

located in the middle of bo kaap, which isnt the safest neighbourhood. the constant presence of security personnel just outside made getting on and off the uber feel safe though. room was clean and spacious, only thing was the balcony door lock couldnt slide fully to the end (although the door position did lock). service staff were responsive and helpful, check in/out was smooth. the sauna was also clean and comfortable. its a pity we only stayed one night!

Location, food (they offered many options) فقط الموقع و الاكل سواء الفطور او المطاعم يللي في الفندق الاكل كان لذيذ و في خيارات كثير

The service was very normal, you dont feel welcoming by the staff. They charge you 100 ZAR for in room dining just to bring the food to the room, apart from the food price and tips. The bathroom smell since we arrived till we left. الاستقبال كان عادي جدا ما كأنه فندق 4 نحوم يعني العميل يوقف في استقبال اكثر من 8 دقايق ينتظر الرد من الموظفه. عندهم خدمة توصيل الاكل الى الغرف لكن طلبو مني ادفع لهم 100 ZAR عشان توصيل الاكل فالغرفة بعيدا عن سعر الاكل و الTips !!! حمام الغرفة كان ف ريحة خايسة من اول يوم لين اخر يوم ، أعتقد في تسرب .
