Giovanni Rooms Manarola

Lovely apartment with a beautiful view of the sea. Really clean and spacious bedroom that was comfortable to chill in. Giovanni was really nice and even rescued my partner when he was forced to park 3km from Manarola due to the lack of available parking nearby. If you are staying Manarola by car I would arrive early in the morning or late in the evening and be prepared for a little hike with your bags (or using the towns luggage delivery service, Giovanni can send you details). Only thing to improve would be the WiFi which was a little weak. But honestly a perfect place to stay :)

Great location and we loved our room and deck even though we didn’t have a view. Nice and cool every time we came home! It was a little tough getting ahold of someone to check in.

This has a great location, close to the town square, but it is an effort with luggage. Once you are there the accommodation is worth it. The rooms are modern, very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was excellent in the heat of summer. It is in a quiet area of town away from the major tourist area. Giovanni's instructions to find the accommodation were very easy to follow. This was a very enjoyable stay in a lovely little village with plenty of restaurant options.

No staff but owner response was immediate with incredible detailed directions! Great air conditioner!! Bed was ok. No shampoo or conditioner provided but I had brought mine.

This hotel was my favourite of our entire trip. The room was beautiful. Really modern. Bed was comfortable and warm. The TV was a smart TV with Netflix and YouTube. Which was a delight after really bad TVs the rest of the time. Bathroom was amazing. Shower was superb. It can be a nightmare to find. So if you head upto the church, look at the nice view near the clock tower then head down passed that into the little alley way. You’re in with a grin

I’m so glad we selected to stay at Giovanni suites for our 1 night stay in cinque terre. The location is perfect - only a 5 minute walk from the parking area in Manarola and the train station. The room was perfectly clean, including the bathroom. Our room (no.3) had a small terrace which was lovely, but our view was of the street. When we come back, we will request the room with the sea view ahead of time (there are notes in the accommodation that suggest you to request a particular room). We were to arrive outside of the regular check in time, and Giovanni was extremely responsive and easy to coordinate our check in instructions. He was also very helpful with a parking map as we were not familiar with the area.

We stayed in the Rosa Dei Venti Apartment for one night. The apartment was spacious and easily slept the 5 people we traveled with. This apartment is not air conditioned and that made me nervous, but there's a door to the balcony and windows to open and two fans, so we were perfectly comfortable for our stay. This property has two bedrooms and a living room with a pull out couch. The bathroom is nice and an extra plus is the full kitchen. I really appreciated the washing machine, a great touch that saved us time and money in not having to track down a laundry mat. And we were able to hang our laundry to dry off the balcony. I think the best part of this property is the balcony overlooking the town. The location can't be beat and the view as simply amazing. Plus, you're a skip away from Trattoria Dal Billy's, the best restaurant in the area. We never saw the owner of the property, but was able to get in and get out with efficiency. I would recommend a stay here!

Manarola: Overview: We arrived by train in Manarola in early October and immediately loved the little town. It was easy going had simple imenities to make our stay comfortable and was fairly quiet. Oh yeah, it has a great little co-op for groceries and some nice restaurants too. Best thing about Manarola: Corbani Caffetteria! Cool little place with awesome Albicocca Deserts and espresso! Open 730 - 1900. The Giovanni Rooms: Overview: We booked with Giovanni Rooms through an online company. Shortly before my stay I was contacted and told that i would receive an updgrade if I booked directly. I cancelled and rebooked directly. That went smoothly. The Giovanni Rooms are near the top of the main road and it’s a pretty steep hike. We got to our room and found our name on the Tramontana room. The keys were inside along with detailed instructions. The room was nice; a little small but nice. The air worked well, there is an exposed rock wall and the bathroom was clean and nice. The best part of the room was the view, It was really pretty. Things I liked: 1. the location. The walk up was no joke but it is far enough away from the busy area to act as a little refuge. 2. The air conditioner and the heated clothes rack in the bathroom. 3. The view. Things that I didn’t like. 1. The instructions. They pretty much said, do something wrong and we fine you. I get it but it was annoying. 2. No interaction with a live human. I never spoke to anyone. I just communicated through email. It all went find but I won’t stay again because I like to interact with a person. 3. The room was showing it’s age a little bit.

Owner was very nice and helpful. Can’t give 5 stars because we didn’t get shampoo. Room was very comfortable and I like the location. We got the room with a nice view. Make sure you have enough money for room. Everywhere you go in cinque Terre asks for cash only

Owner was very helpful to give us a direction to get there. He came outside to help us with my luggage. He was very nice. Our room was very clean. Bathroom was renovated. Good water pressure. We have a great view from our room. AC works fine. I can’t give a 5 Star because we didn’t get any shampoos in the room. We only got 3 body wash and 3 soaps. For the hotel, that’s kind of weird. Just make sure you have enough cash to pay for the room. Everywhere you go in Cinque Terre, they only want CASH. They always say our card machine is not working. Overall, I recommend this place to stay. It’s in a good location between train station and main Sq area.
