Montagu Country Hotel

A great Art Deci hotel, absolutely charming.

Two night stay during garden route road trip . Enjoyed my time at the hotel which is conveniently located in the centre of the town so you can easily wander around and browse the local shops . The outdoor areas were well maintained and comfortable to sit in and relax . The restaurant was very busy on the night I used it so took a while for our food to arrive but we'll worth the wait and would like to thank the restaurant waiting team for great service they provided . Would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others.

Great location and wonderful relaxed place to stay.

Montague has always been a place to get away from the busy city life. This hotel was ale to provide us with that serenity and relaxed feeling

We booked into the hotel on 4 June 2015 and were allocated a room quite far from the main hotel in an annex. We returned from dinner elsewhere at about 10.15 pm. There was no hot water in the room, the air-conditioner was faulty and the telephone to reception did not work. We complained the next morning and were allocated a room in the main hotel which was slightly better than the first room but was extremely cold with the air-conditioner again being faulty. We would be very reluctant to recommend this hotel or to stay there again. We were surprised that it had such a high star rating and was so expensive.

All was perfect. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and the hotel is confortable.

Nice dinner in hotel restaurant. Bar staff and restaurant staff pleasant.

A charming interlude in Art Deco style. We loved the furniture & ambiance. A beautiful garden for relaxing & dining, and a live & accomplished pianist to enhance our dining in the evening. A real find and a delightful experience. Much Appreciated. Joan & Alan
