By the beach (but half the hotel was across the road which you reach via a tunnel)

Very old, tired and rundown. Really needs a lot of money to be spent on it. Paint would be a good place to start.

The hotel is economical. Breakfast is very poor. ITAKA guests are subject to worse conditions than Italian citizens, as the restaurant's time restrictions are exceptionally worse. This is a humiliation. The hotel has a many of seniors and people with disabilities. English is not widely spoken, including by the animators.

We had a wonderful time. We were greeted with refreshments, the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent, clean and spacious with lots of storage space and we had a balcony with a view of the sea. The meals were excellent, and compliments to the chef and his team, we looked forward to all the meals, with an excellent selection at breakfast, wonderful selections of traditional Calabrian food at both lunch and dinner. The waiters were very friendly and greeted you on each visit. We strongly recommend the Santa Caterina Village Hotel to anyone wanting an authentic Italian Experience for their holiday. We felt spoilt and relaxed loved our stay.

The second part of hotel called : “ Village” was disaster: Elevator didnt work 4 days from our 8 days vacation , air-condition worked only 6 hour daily and the temperature was about 40 degrees outside. They selected the peoples so in main building was everything ( the room air condition 24hours and restaurant was also with air condition) Animation is only for Italian children, so we didnt understant anything and they didnt care about tourist. Toilet was broken. The boat brought peoples to the beach from trip and they flushed the contents of the toilet into the sea among the swimming children. I dont recomend this hotel. It was disappointment.

Me and my sister are impressed. The staff in the restaurant is so kind, menager Luca and his waiters are always well organised and say Hi with a smile. The food is so good and hotel is clean. We recommend! 🥰

Disappointing. Will not book again in this hotel. Not a 4 star hotel. I give it 2 stars max. Was overrated.

Traveling thru, our accommodation was very comfortable. It is the down season so not much was going on here or anywhere. Our breakfast was satisfying. Looks like this has so much to offer for a family in the summer. Recommend it in the season for travelers but not for long stay in winter. Would love to have at least one English station on the tv.

Nice hotel on the beach, but the facilities need updating. The rooms have been updated (not the bathrooms). Staff are extremely friendly.

The experience was ok, but the bedroom and the bathroom were old.
