The Ayrlington Guesthouse

A good location on the edge of the town centre. Friendly and helpful staff at this guest house (not a hotel). Breakfast is cooked to order and very nice and fairly priced at £16 per person. Room was ok but in need of a little TLC - bed headboard was loose, pelmet needed fixing, paint touch-up required. The room was quiet apart from the fact the noise from above room could be heard very clearly (footstep noise and running water noise which came late and early) - not their fault but disturbing if you're a light sleeper. So often the case with older properties and little can be done to mitigate such things. Suggest carefully checking room options prior to booking. Outside front of the property needs attention - window boxes had dead flowers in them on upper floors. Rear of the property is very nice having a well kept communal garden overlooking the croquet lawn. Having a parking area is helpful but costs £10 per night but I expect this is quite normal for Bath as many hotels in the centre have no parking at all. All-in-all, this guest house is well priced offering good value for money.

Lovely hotel with lots of character. Very comfy beds, excellent shower, we had very quiet rooms overlooking the garden. In a very convenient location with parking.
