The Luang Say Residence

Great and beautiful property. Breakfast is served in a very formal way and have very limited selection included in your pre-paid rate - any additional item is incredibly pricy. Breakfast needs to be rethought.

One of the best/favorite hotels I have ever stayed in.

Room is excellent, big and comfy. Con is the pool is right beside the busy road where you can hear a lot of noise and food/drinks really over priced.

This is an exceptional property where we stayed three nights at the end of our Laos holiday. The architecture is mock French-colonial. We had an upper floor Pioneer suite which was huge, and had everything you would really need. The pool is probably the biggest in LP, and because there are so few rooms, it never felt busy. The staff are super friendly, and nothing seemed too much for them. Breakfast - included in our room rate - was excellent as well. There are of course many luxury hotels to choose from in this town; and we researched many of them prior to booking here. Indeed we visited a few of them when we were there. I can honestly say that I still think we made the right choice. Just one small niggle (which I mentioned in their questionnaire): the drinks prices in particular, and the menu in general, were exorbitant. I can accept a reasonable markup, but when a Beer Lao (my benchmark for these things) is up to four times as much as some of the restaurants in town, I feel I have to take a principled stand, and not buy. No wonder nobody was buying anything to drink by the pool. The Luang Say's restaurant was empty most evening and consequently lacked ambiance. I just think the hotel needs to reconsider its pricing strategy. Such a shame really, and a real missed opportunity.

Great size hotel - not too many guests. Close enough to the centre of town. Great staff and overall a very comfortable and relaxing place. Excellent food at the restaurant - even for Breakfast. Kids loved the pool and the sense of space.

Beautiful garden, big rooms, nice decoration, very good food, very nice staff, good location, bid Swimming pool. A perfect stay in LuanG Prabang.

The Luang Say Residence is a wonderful place to stay in Luang Prabang. The staff was inobtrusive, but at the same time friendly and extremely helpful. There didn't seem to be anything they wouldn't do for you. The restaurant had great food, the pool was relaxing, and the rooms were comfortable, roomy, and super clean. The place also offered free transportation into town on demand, and had a regular shuttle service in the evenings. I can't think of a base they didn't cover, or anything they couldn't have done better to earn my business. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommended. P.S. They've also got some friendly and very cute rabbits patrolling the grounds. They added a really nice touch to the overall vibe of the place.

Luang Say is located just outside the main town with its many restaurants,shops and temples. This was an advantage as there's a free shuttle and the hotel is such a quiet oasis with lovely gardens and wonderful pool, away from the bustle and noise especially as it was Chinese New Year. The manager Francis could not have been more helpful as were all the staff. Restaurant was lovely and food excellent, breakfast was complete and delicious.

Great overall. Had to keep going to bar to get drinks and bring back to pool. Many lost drink sales from several people.
