I chose the Luang Say Residence because it was ranked as the #1 hotel in Luang Prabang and I'm enthusiastic to say it exceeded my expectations. The experience was so good that I've decided to leave for my first ever online hotel review. The rooms were large, extremely clean, comfortable, and very unique in an elegant french design. Customer service was second to none - there was never a feeling of them trying to sell products (e.g. room upgrades, tour packages, etc.) but rather a genuine effort made by all staff to make our experience as enjoyable and hassle free as possible. The multi-course served breakfast was amazing and it will be hard to go back to hotel breakfast buffets. Even if there weren't a number of neat things to do in Luang Prabang, the Luang Say Residence on its own would have made the trip worthwhile. My only regret is not having booked a longer stay here.

Loved the staff at the hotel- very friendly and knowledgeable. It takes about 7 mins to get downtown by car or tuk tuk, but the staff helped with transportation. If you want to stay in the center this isn't the place, but we loved the calm and relaxing vibe and the fact that there is a bit more space.

This picturesque hotel is outside the old town but hey provide an on demand shuttle service and return shuttles from town run every hour. A Tuktuk from town is 10-20k Kip. It has a fantastic pool which is super relaxing to hang out at. The breakfast is served a la carte and is delicious. Service is friendly and attentive. The place itself is so beautiful and our plantation suite was large and well-appointed. The Hotel arranges tours if you want too. They offer airport transfers as well. Nice mix of couples and families.

Setting as if you go back in time, with wonderful staff, who go the extra mile to make you comfortable. Fabulous breakfast! Free bikes to roam around town. A zen place to really recharge.

Luang Prabang is the most beautiful small town in Asia I've ever been, an incredible great surprise, The Hotel is Superb, I've contacted by mail with the manager to arrange our stay due to my wife's birthday and they organize everything beautifully, excursions, transfers everything, We book the transfer from the airport and Francoise welcomed us in the Arrival hall with a great smile and a superb attention to all the details (well done guy) and lead us to the hotel where we've been welcomed by the Hotel's manager, who seems to be doing an excellent job here, Hotel's staff are so warm, friendly, helpful, they've showed up with a welcome mocktail and a birthday cake during the check in before to lead us to our room, The hotel is way better than what you can see in Expedia's pictures, the atmosphere and the charming ambiance, the decoration is superb, beautifully detailed, awesome landscape, everything is just perfect, We booked the Pioneer room, and it was really nice, located in the first level, the size is perfect, the bedding was wowww we really had a very good rest ,we enjoy the balcony views, The Breakfast is outstanding as well, we specially love this type of small hotels , more intimate and where you can get rid of those Buffet type breakfast, here they serve a la carte meals , which are beautifully prepared and presented, with enough options to fulfill all your needs and expectations,

excellent hotel with a location that is quiet but not so close to the center of town. the hotel is aware of it and provides for rides to the post office all afternoon long. the food is excellent and the rooms extremely charming.

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and very quiet. The large rooms are spread out on the grounds in two-story buildings, each accommodating four rooms. From the moment we arrived the staff provided friendly, helpful service. The hotel provided shuttle service to the colonial town whenever we wanted it. We particularly enjoyed the three tours they arranged for us. Their tour brochure and link on their website was thorough and they offer a variety of experiences. We highly recommend Luang Say Residence!
