Holiday Inn Express & Suites Columbus - Polaris, an IHG Hotel

Very clean. Quiet! Wonderful, HOT breakfast.

There was nothing to not like!

Rooms are big, breakfast is good and pool area is wonderful!!

This property just finished being completely remodeled. They did not skip a beat. The bathrooms and rooms are clean and new.

On some of the website pictures, it pictures a hot tub in the pool area. The hot tub no longer exists. This is quite a disappointment.

The property was clean, the breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable and pillow options were great.

The pool was cloudy (I understand it was salt water, but it very cloudy) and the check in process was terrible. I asked for early check in, called in the morning and was told to call closer to 2. Ended up waiting until 3:15 to call and was told only one of my rooms were ready. I decided to wait until 4 then so we had both rooms since we needed both to have all of us get ready to go in the pool (there were a total of 6 females). Got there at 4, to be told only 1 room was ready STILL. I tried to be patient about it but the front desk person was saying that the housekeeping was working on the room but he still wasn’t sure what room he was going to put us in since we wanted to be right next to each other, so I don’t know how that made sense. I decided to say OK fine we’ll just go upstairs to the one room and get all our stuff in there and start getting ready because I didn’t wanna waste any time that we wanted to spend in the pool. We had a plan which is why we booked the two rooms and we didn’t wanna stray far from the plan. By the time we got up to the room, it was about 430 after all that craziness and he told me after I was done getting ready for the pool to check back in with him and hopefully it’ll be ready. I noticed housekeeping was at a room that was kind of across the hall because of where the elevators are and not necessarily right next to us, but I figured that must be the one that they’re working on then I guess. I went down after everybody was ready for the pool and it still wasn’t ready. I came back up and housekeeping was no longer at that room so I called the front desk and told him that he said he would have to check to see for himself. It took him a while, but he called me back to tell me Everything is ready. By the time we got into our second room, it was 5:20 PM. That was extremely offputting and very inconvenient. Check-in time is 4 PM rooms should’ve been ready by 4 PM.
