Hotel Arvor

It is beautifully situated, the rooms are very clean and well laid out, the beds are soooo comfortable. Best of all, the hotel staff is extremely kind and helpful and wonderful with directions. Old Town Dinan is literally at your feet when you walk out the door.

This hotel is superbly located in the heart of Dinan. The staff is a10 out of 10, and the convenient parking is a huge plus. Some of the cons: lighting in the rooms is very poor. It is difficult to read in the bed because the side lamps are so dim. The rooms and especially the bathrooms could use serious updating. However, the hotel is charming, clean, super well located, so I would recommend it. We originally planned to stay one night and decided to stay for two.

Dinan is worth visiting for its half-timbered buildings and ambience. Hotel Arvor is elegant without being pretentious. Wonderful breakfast and comfortable rooms.

They charge for breakfast and never before have we been to a hotel for that price and charged for somethings as simple as breakfast. I had booked a certain room with the view and colour scene I wanted, they told us we couldn't check in at the aforementioned time and instead told us twice to come back later before giving us a room we did not book.

Stayed before - about 4 years ago - so we already knew it was an ideal location to introduce Dinan to our friends. The hotel is within the original city walls and short walk down hill to the Rance and old river Port. Remember that it is market day on Thursday morning so pre-book parking at the hotel and enjoy as the market is only 100 metres away.

It's a good location and the rooms are clean but they could use a little updating and definitely touching up the paint. Front desk staff was friendly enough. I don't think the reviews I had seen were really justified.

Great situation, perfect for walking around Dinan, near good restaurants and shops. Would definitely stay there again...friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast. A bonus to have private parking

We really enjoyed out three day stay here. From the friendly welcome at our arrival, in what is an imposing building from the outside, perhaps a bit less so on the inside. The room was comfortable, the breakfast very good, and the location a very short walk to all the main attractions in Dinan. There is a good choice of restaurants nearby. We loved the town, it was our first visit, and hope to get back to both Dina and the Hotel Arvor as soon as possible next year.
